Okay, I finally decided that the AB would better suit our taste as compared to the mansions. I want a non-smoking bldg. I have paid for a "king" room and requested a "river" view. I would like a bldg. that has lots of shade facing the river. I have looked at all different pics of these bldg's and have found a few that have interested me but they never mentioned what bldg. they were. If anyone has stayed in a bldg such as the type I am looking to stay in or knows what bldg. would suit my desires I would appreciate your imput. Thanks! Also if there are any sites that show alot of pics f the AB and POR please let me know.:Pinkbounc

Just 10 more months to celebrating our 25th at WDW !!!::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

We were in a king room in Bldg 18 last week. We didn't have a river view, but it seemed like the rooms at the river end of the building would. There aren't a whole lot of king rooms from what I understand. Also, think about how far you want to walk to get to the food court and lobby. Bldgs 14, 15 and 18 are closest. Also keep in mind that there are a lot of trees and a large path around the river and even though you ask for a river view, it may not "really" be a view.
Have a great time!

PS: I'm not sure they allow smoking in any of the rooms anymore because we were in bldg. 18 which was a smoking bldg, but our room had a sign posted outside for no smoking.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at bldg.'s 18 & 27. They don't seem too far away. I don't know if I'll even request #14 b/c it seems like everyone wants that bldg and if I do request it I'll probably not get it anyway. #27 looks a little more secluded from the others in that AB area w/o being too far away from the food etc. Is the "south" gate bus stop near the food court? I understand that they pick at the south stop 1st. Is that true? We'll be going late next April into early May so I really don't think crowds will be that much of an issue from what I've been reading. Anyway, thanks again.

I stayed in Bldg AB16 during Spring Break and loved it. We were upgraded to a Trundle room (no charge), the extra space was great. It was close to everything, a quiet pool, the parking lot, main building, food court, marina, etc. Our room was very quiet, clean and so close to the food court we could refill mugs during TV commercials, (we enjoyed a quiet evening with lots of pizza and swimming and a little TV).:wave2:

We just stayed in 27 and thought it had a better location than 14. You just took a left and went over the bridge to go to the pool or took a right and went to the food court/lobby. The other good thing is it is centrally situated so there are no views of the parking lot like you could get in 14. It was great.

We stayed in Bldg. 27 and I was very pleased with the location and I agree with Ncombs' post. Laundry facility and quiet pool are also nearby.

The one thing I didn't like was when we were loading and unloading the car; it seemed like a long distance to the parking lot. I'm sure bell service is available at check-in but we wanted to save money so we handled our luggage ourselves.

We stayed in building 28. It is just behind 27, closer to the parking lot if you'll have a car. It was close to a quiet pool, near a bridge to Old Man Island, and not too far from the main building, food court and bus stop. No one ever mentions it as a preference but we really liked it.
