Having a bad couple days.

I did lose 3lbs more on my check in 6/1 but now got my period and am planning a 50th for my parents this weekend.

I succumbed at ate terrible the last 2 days. Today I weighed and put back the 3 I worked so hard on.

So feeling incredibly sorry for myself as well as bloated and nasty.

How do you get through thise few days and stressful events, tips would be appreciated.

Thanks guys

I do the same kinds of things, too. :( I think we all have these kinds of tendencies. It's a simple case of not taking enough time for yourself. At times like these I like to go on a long walk or eat something that will make me feel better. Consider the then rather than the now. If I eat french fries, I feel good now, but I hate the feeling that comes later. If I eat a peach, I feel alright now, but a lot better then. Go to the grocery store or farmer's market and surround yourself with healthy treats that you can eat in a jiffy (no prep required). You will feel better. And hopefully your body will remember that it lost those three pounds just a couple of days ago, and will shed them even quicker! Sometimes these things happen...

We're here for you, and congratulations on putting together such a nice shin-dig for your parents! They will definitely appreciate your hard work!

Is it still that TOM? If so maybe you are still retaining from that. Let a couple of days go and reweigh. Good luck.

During stress we tend to retain wgt - I don't no why just do - probably lack of normal activity or not enough water and perhaps a few "bad" food choices - but usually that wgt - once back in your normal routine will come right back off.

Your weight gain is probably fluid retention. Get back on program right away and the fluid will go away :)

I dunno but I've had one of those days today.

LIke the others told me its in the past just get back on plan. :)

When I first started, the scale absolutely drove me (and my DH) crazy the first couple of months with the downs and then ups even though I was being ever so careful and NOT cheating with my eating. Finally my DH hid the scale and said I only weigh in once a month! Well - that did the trick. I concentrated on my eating, exercise and how my clothes were fitting instead of what the scale showed.

Now the scale is back in it's place - but I will only get on it once a week for weigh in and sometimes only every other week. It is amazing the difference in your weight even in the course of a day! Over the course of the month - especially during TOM - the scale could be showing water-weight gain or even muscle-weight gain. Taking stock of your measurements or getting into a tight-fitting pair of jeans every few weeks is a much better way of showing progress than that darn scale!
