AAR at almost exactly 7?

I've been looking up info on using the AAR for a reception and all it ever says on time frame is that events must begin after seven. I've also looked up the wedding pavillion and it says it has a time on Saturdays for 5. Is it possible for Disney to open AAR at almost exactly seven? Or do they mean that the entire deal must start after seven (ie: ceremony, cocktail, and reception) My timeframe would go like this:

Ceremony: 5-5:30 (unless my mother gets her way. Then it becomes 5-6)
Coctail hour: 5:30/6-7/7:30

I just feel awkward about serving a sit-down meal so late. (I've seen most brides have their ceremony at 7:30. By then, if my family hasn't eaten, they aren't going to.

I don't know about AAR but I know that you'll be at the WP for pictures at least 30 or 45 minutes after the ceremony, then there's getting everyone on the bus you're using for transport and the actual transport time, so you might not get there before 7 anyway. Then they could start the cocktail hour right away.

I was originally having the 5pm ceremony. Joe said that you couldn't enter the WP until 7pm at the earliest. We were going to have a problem because we didn't know where to have cocktail hour. I was really worried about the rain and I wanted fireworks. But if you have your cocktail hour from 6-7 somewhere (Italy Isola maybe) you can then have your reception starting at 7 in AAR.

Also, don't worry about serving dinner so late. We pushed our ceremony back to 7:30 so that we are doing cocktail hour during Illuminations and we aren't serving dinner till 10:30ish. People will see on the invitation what time everything is and plan accordingly.

Another thing I was wondering is if you had your ceremony at 7:30 and just nixed cocktail hour all-together and went straight to reception. I'm sure no one would miss it.

That is a great idea to just skip the cocktail hour. As long as you tell your guests when they are eating so that they can plan their meals that day so they aren't starving. Disney does run a really tight timeframe so talk to your planner about what they think is best! They have seen it and done it all, so their help is invaluable in timing. They have it down to a science!
