AAH My Tooth!

I was eating some McDonald's French Fries and then a part of my tooth chipped off. I kept the pieces just in case. This tooth has already had filling on it. Has this happened to anyone else? What will the dentist do?

are you sure you chipped your tooth and not the filling? I've chipped my fillings before. It feels the same.

I've pulled 3 (yes three!) Temp. crowns off one tooth in two and a half weeks I finally got the perm. on it, but the first time I did it it felt like I pulled the tooth out of my head. I did all three while eating too.

The dentist will probably cap it, to seal it and keep it from chipping again.

EDIT THIS IS WHAT MY MOM SAID THEY WOULD MOST LIKELY DO:
*she said if it is small chip they would buff it out. if it is a big chip they would add a tooth colored filling so it would blend in with your teeth.*

Yowch! I've seen that happpen before, a friend in the fourth grade bowed and cipped his tooth on the ground. We couldn't find the chipped part so he had a fake part of the tooth made, and they glued it in. He says it still feels funny... Oh well, hopefully the part you chipped wasn't very big...

You should have told the manager.. McDonalds would have paid for it.. My friends mom did basically the same thing at Pizza Hut and they paid..

Okay, um, OUCH!!! I don't like McDonald's fries, I prefer BK's. But anyway, a fry chipping your tooth? Bizarre... Nope, never chipped a tooth, but dad has on a chip, a Skittle, and something else... He acted like it hurt.
