AAAPlusRV question

I was interested in becoming a AAA member. I went to their website but didn't find the answers I was looking for. My concern is that I would want the membership mainly to cover our vacation trips with our camper, but I don't pull the camper with my car. If the membership is in my name, would it cover my BIL's car and camper? Also, what if any discounts are available?

I can answer part of your question..your AAA membership covers any car you are in...my ds was driving back to college with a friend in the friends car..they broked down on the way and my son had the membership..it covered the car...we also have a RVPlus membership...we don't have an RV, but my husband drives a Ford F350 Diesel and we needed the RVPlus membership to get the benefits on his truck.

I can't answer on the discounts..have never used AAA for discounts at Disney.

I just made res for 10/04. Used my AAA discount & saved almost $100 for a 9 night preferred site. That alone paid for my membership.

Anything you tow with reg. AAA membership is not covered. They will tow any car the member is driving but will leave your pop-up,rv or whatever on the side of the road. This is what I was told when I joined. What is RVplus membership She never mentioned this.

RV Plus is a special membership that covers RVs and campers. I'm not sure if it would also cover boats. As junhouse8 stated, with a regular membership, they will tow the car but will leave the camper on the side of the road!

Towing distance allowance increased to 100 miles from the point of disablement to the destination of your choice. This gives you the freedom to have your vehicle towed to a repair facility or other location of your choice within 100 miles. (Regular membership covers tow to responding station or up to 5 miles from place of disablement.)
