Ok - I don't know what he deal is, but all of the sudden, we have had like 4 of these things in the house!!! They are so nasty and scary looking, I swear they make me want to sell my house and get the heck outa here!! :scared: Anyone else ever have these? Do you know what they are???? They look like a cross between a spider and a cricket.

Camelback Crickets and if you are seeing them in the house chances are you have a nest in there.

Would somebody please post a tiny picture of these so I know what to watch out for. I'm too terrified to actually google them up myself. :scared1:

We had ONE a few years ago and I wanted to move. The dog went NUTS! And I was right there with her it was gross and when we sucked it up with the dyson it was STILL ALIVE!:scared1: The kids thought it was cool.

AHHHH! I hate those things! The only thing I hate more than any kind of spider are praying mantis's (manti??)

I choked on my kool-aid when I saw magic mom's picture above!

Your best bet is to call an exterminator and have them search for the nest and spray.

We had a nest in our old house and try as we might - we did not get rid of the until they found the nest - which was in the insulation of one of our walls in our finished basement.

They will know what to look for and where to look - call them....

Chances are with the cleaning of the basement you have disturbed their nest which is why they are now "afoot".

An exterminator is the way to go, I would imagine.

Just don't move to FL where you'll quickly become acquainted with pregnant wolf spiders. :scared1: :lmao:

We have had them as well in our basement. Our cats used to love chasing and trying to catch them. They jump FAST - we used to go afer them with snow shovels to try and kill them.

They are GROSS.

The "jumping spiders" built a nest in our mailbox at work a couple years ago...I would pick up the mail on my way home and bring it back to work in the morning. One afternoon I looked down and saw, what looked like HUNDREDS:scared: , of spiders crawling on the mail on my front seat!!!:scared1:

I pulled over, threw out all the mail and screamed:rotfl2: I'm pretty sure I got all the mail back in the car after the fact, but I DID stop picking up the mail on my way out of work!:rotfl:

uhh i googled the pregn. wolf spiders...ekkk i had the heeby jeebies like nobody's business

OMG!!! If that had been me my car would have been in the junk yard faster than you could say Cave Crickets!!!!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

that pic really just looks like a cricket to me... are they a spider or a cricket? do they bite? that's the only thing i'd be scared of.

They are not a regular cricket. First off they're about 3x the size of a typical cricket and their legs have a span like a spider not close to their body like a cricket. They crawl up walls and ceilings like a spider, they also jump and they're huge and fast and disgusting....
