Actually ... it would cover your entire stay. The rate that you check in at is the rate you pay for your entire stay (whether it goes UP or DOWN).

I got the same postcard today! I JUST traded my last week of vacation with a co-worker 2 weeks ago (so I'm off next week) I don't know if I would've been able to swing another WDW trip this year anyhow, but $49 a night I might have made it work. This is my first postcard too ....

No, I think DVC members wouldnt be targeted for the offer since most stay on their points. Our last trip was 2 weeks, 5 nights of the stay were at BWV on points and 5 nights were at the Poly with a cash ressie (and our first night was spent at PC). Im pretty sure our receiving a post card was related to the cash ressies.

I have to tell you that last week I got my first Disney Postcard. I about peed my pants. I was so excited I didnt even look at the card. I just saw Disney on the back cover. I wanted to save the moment. You know how hard these are to get.

So I get in my home where no one else can see me enjoy my special moment. I flip the card like it is Christmas morning...........

They work like discount codes, except that they're specifically for whoever they're addressed to and have a pin so nobody else can use them.

I got a "letter" folded three ways in postcard type material. It had a discount on it for AK for $129 for next month and we are going to WL in December....Is this the post card you guys are talking about?

I was hoping I would get another for WL in December....But now I'm thinking this thing I received is unusual?

Nope. They come in all different formats. This is just the one for late-August/late-September.

I also got the tri-fold. If you get one, ignore whatever hotels it is advertising. (Unless of course that's the one you want! ) If there's availability, they can apply a discount to any of the resorts.

I am just glad to know they are out there at all! Didn't even know they had discounts until I started looking at these boards. What about the other discount codes people keep talking about that don't come in the mail? How do you find out about them?
