AAAAAK!!!! Stainless Steel!

The best thing I have ever used on my stainless steel appliances are Windex wipes. For some reason the clean much better then just spraying with windex and wiping with a paper towel. Try 'em.... you LOVE 'em!

I heard on TV (I can't remember what show it was, one of the home improvement ones) that a little dishsoap and water on a clean rag is ideal for cleaning stainless. I tried it on ours, and it seemed to work great.

They also said for polishing to use vinegar and water.

What really bummed me out was that we had a cleaning service here a while ago, and the lady they sent obviously didn't know how to clean stainless. Our fridge, which is only 8 months old now, has scratches on it because she didn't follow the grain when she used her sponge on it. You'd think when you hire a professional... :confused3

I do love the way they look when they are clean though, and most of the time, they look pretty decent - but then we don't have any small children yet.

I use Johnson's Baby Oil to remove smears and fingerprints from our stainless steel appliances. Works much better than any dedicated stainless steel cleaner I have ever tried... :)

My parents have stainless steal counter tops. UGH! They thought it was a really cool idea(their house is very modern.) They totally regret it now.

They use some special cleaner. I'll ask her what the name of it is when I talk to her later.

We've used Pledge with great success! It's hard to train the family to only touch the refrigerator by the handles! :flower:

our new house has stainless steel appliances. they are brushed so figured maybe fingerprints would not be so bad, but they still are. ugh. windex does not work...just makes it look streaky. we have some kitchenaid stainless cleaner that seems to work fine. looking forward to any other responses.
We use the same stuff. The Kitchenaid cleaner works like a charm, even on little touch ups. I think to clean the whole refrigerator, stove and dishwasher (all stainless), it only takes anout 10 minutes tops.

I bought a stainless steel teapot. Just this little bit of stainless steel taught me that I will never have stainless steel appliances. :rotfl: What a pain in the...
