I booked my Jan. 07 package through AAA. Is it normal that when I called WDW they say they don't show me as having a reservation??? I'm a little nervous now?? :scared:

It's my understanding AAA "owns" your ressie, until right before you arrive.

You will need to contact AAA with any changes, concerns or questions.

I tried to pull up my(AAA) ressie on the Disney web site and it wasn't there so I called and that's what they told me too. They said it won't show up in their computers until the night before you arrive. I don't know how they can do room assignments and stuff but I'm ASSUMING they know what they are doing! I HOPE!!!!!!!!!

No worries needed, i booked my May 06 and up coming Jan 07 trips through AAA. Disney cannot see your reservation and any changes that need to be made through AAA...all your tags and info will go to your AAA office then they pass it on to you.

I am keeping my fingers crossed , this is the first time we are booking through AAA and I am nervous. Especially since we need a wheelchair access. room.
When shlould I be expecting any documents from AAA?

Check with AAA that they worked with Special Reservations at WDW to get a wheelchair accessible room blocked for you. Those rooms are not a request, they are a reserved and blocked room.
I'm not sure exactly how WDW works with AAA for those, but if it is just listed as a request and all of them are already blocked for other people when your room is assigned, you won't get one.

O.K., so this is my first time doing AAA for our trip. How DO they do room requests then? Do I give my room requests to my AAA agent? What are your experiences with them being honored?

When you call for ADR's don't they ask for a ressie number or something? I didn't book through AAA in 2004 and I was thinking I had to give them a number. If you book with AAA and it Disney doesn't have a record of it, what do you do - or is it even done like that - maybe I'm remembering wrong? :confused3

JUst make sure your request through AAA states the wheelchair needs. That is the best you can hope for. AAA has been booking trips for years and while I'm sure there has been mistakes and unsatisfied customers, the majority of the time they get it right. This year I booked my trip through them(for the first time) and it saved me a ton of headaches. Don't sweat it. It's Disney they'll make it work. Once you get there, if your having issues voice your displeasure.

Nope they just ask when you are checking in and where you are staying..that's all. If you have any room requests or changes to your package you have to go through AAA. ADR's are a totally seperate thing.
