Can i receive a AAA discount on a Concierge room?

Yes, you can. I had one booked as a room-only ressie for the Poly but switched to a package w/o the AAA discount when the Free Dining promotion was announced. So, I know that it is possible.

yep! i got my room only rate through AAA at the GF for a honeymoon room conceirge and am just waiting to add the discount and the package!

We got AAA discount at the Beach Club in December for concierge level, but were told that there were no more AKL AAA discount concierge level rooms. I could see through the Disney site that AKL concierge was available, but apparently not with the AAA discount. Our TA says she will check weekly for availability.

You can get the AAA rate plus MYW/Dining by booking thru AAA directly. But if you are going during the free dining period, you can't get both discounts.

We did not pay any additional fees to the travel agent. I will add one further inquiry. We did not get the AAA discount on the AKL concierge and therefore booked a deluxe room with the AAA discount. Our agent said she would check weekly to see if any AAA concierge level rooms opened up. My question is if we book the concierge level to make sure we get it, can we apply the AAA discount if that then becomes available, or do we live with the higher price?

They only allot so many rooms for the AAA discount, so once they are booked, there will be no more available, unless someone cancels. If you're going to use AAA discount, it's better to book your room as soon as you can so you don't miss out. I'm currently waiting for the 2007 AAA Discounts (room-only) to come out so I can grab it

The thing is, once the AAA discounts are all booked up it's been my experience that they rarely become available again, however it's not impossible.

So you are saying that if you are planning to book a MYW w/ dining package thru AAA it is best to book room only when they're available and then add the package later? To ensure that AAA rooms are still available when package rates are released? Thanks.

I always book room-only, and I book directly with Disney, not a AAA agent, so I'm not really sure how the AAA Packages work. Sorry! Hopefully someone else with experience with the packages will come along and comment

We have AAA and an AP. I always book our room with an AAA discount. However, months later, if an AP discount comes out I switch over to that discount. I would think that the AAA discount would become available at that time. Maybe if you check for it as soon as AP discounts become available you would have a better chance at grabbing one. My TA did it, the AKL concierge level at the AAA discount came through! I am very excited as we really wanted the Sunrise Safari, so I will be contacting the IPO to get that arranged right away.

i booked concierge today at rack rates for the boardwalk and will be hoping for aaa or even better an ap rate later in the year. when do you think aaa rate for jan 07 will appear?
