Thought everyone would like to see the AAA viewing area for Wishes. Here is where it is....Walking to the castle down Main Street, turn right at the last building on Main Street and take the path to Tomorrowland ( not Tomorrowland bridge) and it is just to the left after making the turn.

You will have to contact your AAA rep. and ask them how to get a reservation.

do you need to book a package with AAA to get the preferred seating for the fireworks or do you only have to be a member of AAA??

In another thread, someone posted that you needed a special package to get the reservation. I have no idea how to actually get it. We didn't find out about it until we walked past it one night. We talked to the attendant at the entrance and he said you needed a resservation. We finally talked him into letting us in by just showing our AAA card. However, it has been said that it is impossible to get without the reservation. Who knows? We were just lucky I guess.

Check with your AAA rep. and let them know that you are interested.

We booked last year with AAA and they gave us vouchers to use to be able too set there. This year we used them to book our trip, but It was through Disney. I'm waiting for our papers to come in. :Pinkbounc Can't wait. When we get them I will ask and see if we get the vouchers again. Then I will post what we get.

Wow - I didn't even know about this - I will have to check with AAA now.

I noticed that the sign also says "Walt Disney Travel Company". That's not the same AAA is it? If I booked directly through Disney, am I eligable (sp?)? Thanks!

Aha! PROOF of the special area! Thanks, JABEAR!

I have printed out the picture of the sign and I will be taking it along with me to make my final payment. I will show it to the AAA agent (who already thinks I am a pain in the um, neck) and ask her how to obtain seating. The last time there was a thread about this nobody was ever able to figure out what you needed to do to get seating. If anybody has any luck getting confirmation about what sort of package is required please post!

Thanks for the info! I'll have to talk to my agent about reservations when I make my final payment in Oct :flower:

I have a AAA room-only reservation and just emailed my TA about getting reservations. I'll let people know whether a package is required or not!

My AAA agent thinks I'm a pain in the butt too! Hey if you find out anything - could you please post what you find out? I will do the same if I find out anything.

TIA,

Jodi

I am not sure but it looks like Disney Travel Company guests are included too. I will try to call and see what they say. I told my AAA agent about this when we got back and she said, "Oh yeah, I know about that..." Thanks for letting ME know about it. :rolleyes1

I'm betting you have to book a WDTC package through AAA to get the special seating....

I will also be making my final payment this week and you better beleive I'll ask about it(It makes you wonder why AAA doesn't tell you about this when you book your trip with them) I'll post when I find something out.

I am going to ask my TA about this tomorrow. I booked thru the AAA agent hoping to get a better deal, but it was the same price, now maybe this will make it worth it! :sunny:

We have a MYW + Dining package booked with AAA, so unless it is Premium packages only we should qualify. I expect to make my final payment either Aug. 13 or 20 and I plan to go in the AAA office to do it so I will tell her I need to make a reservation. Then I'll see what her response is! :rotfl:

I think next time we might try to book our AAA stuff through an agent that's NOT local. She doesn't really care for Disney and it shows. Or perhaps I should apply to be a part time AAA travel agent. I certainly know more about Disney than she does, and my clients would be far better off!

Thank you very much; I have just sent an e-mail to my AAA agent. :earsgirl:
