I have a friend in FL who is bringing her daughter over to stay with us for a few days on our June trip. She was going to buy her a FL resident ticket, but they can't be used in June.
She was told at AAA that she would get a voucher type thing that would have to be traded in for a ticket once she gets to the park.
We are trying to book FP+ for her to match up with ours and need her to hurry up and get her ticket.
If she gets a voucher for her ticket through AAA, will there be a number on it to set it up with FP+?

No, probably not. A voucher usually means will call and she would have to pick up at a ticket window.

Any FL Residents out there who have bought through AAA in FL? Is there a number I can link to my MDE on the voucher?

How much is your friend saving by buying from AAA? In '94 I used them to buy FL AP (back then they were $209 :( ) but a couple of years ago you were lucky if you saved $2. Back in '94 the discount was basically you saved the tax 6.5%. Not so anymore. I'm only asking because since discount is not huge she should just buy from Disney and you won't have to worry if voucher will link. If the tickets are during blackout dates she can't use a FL ticket (well other than an AP). Even if she can purchase a 3-4 day florida discounted ticket from AAA it's still won't be good during blackout dates. I hate that they changed that a couple years ago.

I think she said she was going to have to buy a regular 3 day ticket (The special 3day ticket would have expired by our arrival dates). Not sure of the savings, or why she wants to use AAA.
I did call WDW and spoke to a CM who said that the voucher would have a number on it that I can add to my MDE.
She said that the ticket would have to be traded in and that the girl would have to have a state ID or something like a bank statement showing that she resides in FL.

That's only if it's a Florida Resident ticket. Florida Resident tickets don't exist during summer except for AP or PAP. Since it's a regular priced ticket she won't need ID.

Isn't there still a FL resident discount on regular park tickets? I was thinking that they get a discount, but its not as good as the "special" 3 and 4 day park ticket that would expire before our trip.

There are discounted tickets, but there are blockout dates in the summer.

My Mom bought her Florida resident pass through AAA and has to pick up her actual ticket at the gate. It's a huge pain and I wish she hadn't done it through them since she didn't save any money.

Anyway, I was able to link her ticket up and get her FP+ with the number on the voucher.
