I am not a member of AAA but thinking of joining for a couple of reasons. The main question I have is how much of a savings would it be for me to be a AAA member and stay 6 nights at the PoP? Is it worth it to join AAA to just get the savings at Disney?

Thanks

If you are getting the dining plan, I believe AAA is the only way to get any additional savings on your package. Not to mention I love having AAA anyway!

am not planning on getting a package then the AAA plan doesn't save any money. I don't think I want a package plan. Just room rates for 6 nights at the Pop. Any savings for May of 2007 at Pop is what I looking for.

Thanks

The AAA discount, when available (usually, but rooms at those rates DO sell out) is between 10% and 20% depending on the resort and the time of year.
But the best reason to join AAA is for their original purpose - emergency road service. Everything else is just a bonus.

Not only will you get a discount on a room at WDW, but you will also get discounts at other hotels and at some places like Payless Shoes, Lens Crafters, other parks, etc. :thumbsup2 As stated before, roadside assistance is the most important thing especially if driving to WDW. Enjoy your trip

AAA can get you discounts on resort hotel stays and other discounts (although not a lot) at WDW. There are a few perks to book a resort or package through AAA, such as a location in the Magic Kingdom just for AAA members. The price break is not great, but it is less than booking directly through WDW.

When in may are you going? Ill be at WDW my fam on the 29 for 8 nights :sunny:

I just priced a night in mid-May, 2006 (they're not accepting 2007 yet) on AAA's website and the AAA rate for a standard room at Pop is $84.15 before tax. For the same night, a standard room at Pop booked on WDW's website is $99.00 before tax.

I've been pricing packages and for us to go through AAA only saved us about $100 for 7 days, flight and dining plan. I thought going through AAA would have been a lot better!
