Has anyone booked a mod at the AAA rate for early February (value season)? If so, would you mind sharing the rate? I'd also be interested in the AAA package rates for that same time frame. Thanks

We are staying a CBR 7 nights 2/3-2/10 with park hoppers and dining for 7 nights for 4 people ours came to $2850.00. But our TA is checking every week for lower rates.

Thanks for the reply. So if a better package comes out you can cancel your AAA at no penalty? Or does AAA adjust their rate if a better Disney offer is released? I am very unfamiliar with booking through AAA.

This is our first time with AAA also. Our TA said she will call Disney once a week to make sure thare are no new specials available (they don't have to be AAA discount). If there are then she will have them switch us to the new special rate and we would still go threw her for everything even if we aren't using the actual AAA discount. Plus I think you also get a special storybook reading by a character too and special parking and stuff. :cheer2:

I called today to check on AAA room only rates for CSR for late jan 2007. For a standard room, it was $116 a night (plus 12.5% tax). Pretty good deal - that's 20% off rack rate. :sunny:

We're booked at CSR via AAA for 5 nights (1/31 - 2/5/07) - 2 adults, 1 infant, king bed, 6 day MYW passes w/hopper + dining plan, no insurance (purchased that separately) = $1638.32. Saving us around $200 with AAA, but I'm watching for codes...

Thanks all. I decided to book AAA POR "room only" through "Small World Vacations" hoping they'll watch the AP codes for me. The total was $864 fo 6 nights which was pretty good but she was unable to get POR and booked POFQ. I went online and POR is still open for those dates. Do you think, maybe, just the AAA rooms were sold out? Now I don't know what to do since we really wanted POR. Should I book at rack and hope for the AP code or keep POFQ? Any suggestions???

AAA probably is not available . I would keep the ressie you want but tell your TA to check on it for you. Actually I would also call Reservations at Disney daily for it. You can book it yourself I believe over the phone if need be. 20% off is a chunk. If I were looking at riverside vs the french quarter, I could make do with either for that amount of savings. (I know it is hard once you finally make up your mind what resort you want!) Someone was saying to call daily towards the end of the evening and you might catch a cancellation. Good luck!

I booked 2/3-2/10 POR in the king setup and it was $144 a night or $1008 for the 7 nights we will be there. We saved $252 which almost pays for one of our sets of park tickets.

For everyone who books with AAA, let me make an additional suggestion. Consider their no annual fee Platinum AAA credit card. It gives rebates on gas and other purchases. If you book through AAA and use your card, you get an additional trip rebate certificate. I saved $125 through rebates on my August trip. I will save another $100 for a trip I have planned for November. I really consider this a nice perk of booking through AAA and using their card. It's like getting one free night of lodging.

Kind of on the same topic...

Does anyone know if they normally check your AAA card at check in? When I booked, they didn't ask for my AAA number, and last year when we checked in, they didn't ask to see the card.

Just wondering what other's experiences have been.

I wasn't asked for the number today, but I was told that I will be asked for the card when I check in.
