AAA room only discount..book through Disney or AAA?

Should I call both or does one give a better rate or deal?

As long as the AAA rate is open and available for your dates, the room rate will be the same. Not every resort or room category is available for every date, there is limit put on the AAA rate rooms and there are blacked out dates, just as there are for promotions and PIN codes.

Some AAA offices may offer you the parking pass for the preferred area (same $14 cost to park for non Disney guests), but if you're not driving to the parks that won't help you much. It's been reported that several AAA only offer this with a package booking now.

You may book AAA room rates either directly with Disney CRO, a AAA office, or any other travel agent. For PACKAGES with the AAA discount, you MUST book with a AAA agent. Discounts can't be stacked, so if a better promotion comes along you'd loose the AAA discount anyway.

You might want to at least call AAA as January has typically been Disney month at AAA. You might want to see if they have any extra perks.
The downside is, any changes to the res will have to be made by AAA on your behalf. So make sure you feel comfortable with your AAA agency.
