AAA Room Only Discount Availability

Keep in mind that discounts are used to encourage folks to come certain times of year.

I too have a ressie for late march 2014. So far no discount for me either but that is a high rate time for spring breakers so any discounts would be few and far between and small if available. Also the fort is full for thanksgiving so any ressie that crosses that period will likely not have a discount.

They think "if we're going to be full why give money away?"

I called reservations to see if AAA discount would be available for a preferred or premium site for the dates of April 20th - 27th. I know... shot in the dark... But lo and behold there were AAA discounts available but only for the tent sites. Just my luck but I actually was surprised to see any discount at all for this week. So hopefully this can help someone that needs a tent site. I did make a reservation for a preferred site (premiums were sold out). I will keep checking back to see if a discount is available - doesn't hurt to try. I kinda feel getting a discount only happens on a Tuesday at exactly 3:42 pm during a lunar eclipse, torrential rain storms and the outside temp has to be exactly 82 degrees....

Well the 20th is Easter Sunday and the week before it and the week after it are usually the two busiest weeks of the spring.

Bama Ed: Yep, go figure.... I was shocked to hear a discount for any site that week. It is crazy expensive during Spring Break!!
