My plan for next June was to get a standard room at RPR w/ the AAA rate. If the cost difference between purchasing an AP and getting an AP rate was great enough (assuming an AP rate got offered during my travel dates), I was going to do that, but figured the AAA rate would be fine -- I know it saves around $25-$30 per night.
So, I finally got around to making my reservation today for next June, thinking I'd be paying $250 for a weeknight for a standard room, and lo and behold, there are no more standard rooms with AAA rate available!
I had to get a water view for $278/weeknight (and yes, that's the cheapest of all 3 hotels). I'm kind of bummed because I'll be paying about $100 more over the course of 3 nights than I had originally anticipated.
1. Do you think it's possible that the AAA rate is already snatched up for standard rooms for next June or was she just not looking hard enough?
2. Can someone tell me how great the water view room is and how much I'll enjoy it so I can at least feel better about it?
