We already have 2 reserevations for a split stay in June. Is it too late to get AAA rates and will it make a difference? :confused3

I'm sure that a lot of people here will give their opinion on the likelyhood of getting a AAA rate at this time, but the only people that can really answer your question is Disney or AAA themselves. Give them a call.

you will have to call to find out. If there is availability aaa discount is 15%off in june for values and mods, 10% for deluxes off the room rate only not off the entire package.

If you have room only reservations you should be able to call and make that adjustment through disney.

If you have package reservations you will have to work it out by calling aaa. You may have to cancel your old reservation and book new with aaa. There is a way around it but I'm not sure the specifics. If you do this be sure aaa secures your new reservation before canceling your old.

Booking through aaa gets you some added benefits ( aaa parking lot, discount card for dtd, story time, aaa luggage tags some things may be for packages only) , however some people feel they have lost control by turning it over to aaa. You can no longer access your reservation except through aaa.

So you can't get AAA discounts on your package by calling Disney/CRO?

We literally just called this evening and got a AAA rate for the week of June 17 at POP. It may not be available at all resorts but the rate is out there if you're flexible with where you want to stay. I don't know if you can apply it to a package. We were room only.

No you can get an AAA rate Directly through Disney/CRO for a room only reservation - if you have a package booked you can only get the AAA discount by booking via AAA.

Ugh. I do not want to have to go through AAA. I would have no problem doing room and tickets separetly, but I want the dining package as well.

I posted this somewhere else, but perhaps it's more appropriate in this thread...
Thanks.

If I am NOT getting DDP, is the price the same whether I book through AAA TA or if I do it myself through CRO giving them my AAA number?
POP 7nites, 8D parkhoppers, 2A, 2K, (10,7).

I understand I get storytime, preferred parking, and diamond card if I go through AAA TA; but would the price be the same no matter what route I decide to go?

I dont think with AAA you can get a room and a Park Pass going through disney.. Doesnt that then turn it into a package... If you book Room Only through Disney with AAA discount, its the same room price as booking with a AAA TA....

Not exactly.

If you want a package meaning when you book your room you include tickets, then you can only get the aaa rate by calling AAA. Calling Disney will not get you a aaa discount on this.

If you book your room without your tickets the rate is the same aaa or Disney.

There is a discount if you buy your tickets (just the tickets, not as part of a package) at aaa. I think i saw it is a 5% discount but I dont know what they compare the discount to as far as gate prices or advance purchase prices. I think if you do this you can get some of the aaa benefits without having to have aaa book your room/vacation.

If you book your room through whoever without making it a package (not tickets with it) you have more flexibility/less rules. Your deposit is only one night and you can cancel for full refund up to 5 days prior . You can also then get your tickets from anywhere and undercovertourist.com has a pretty good price, even more so if you sign up for the mousesavers.com newsletter and use the discount in it. Remember when comparing the ticket prices that the price on undercover tourist includes all taxes/delivery where the disney site doesn't.
