If your stay starts in value season, and crosses over into regular season rates, does the AAA discount change?

Value season rates are $63 a night. Regular season rates are $84 a night. in value season and you're staying for 7 nights. If your first three nights are in value season, and four nights in regular season on the same reservation, would the AAA discounted rate change?

Nope. You're entire stay is based on the rate at which you check in. If you check in on the value rate, your whole stay is value. Same goes if you check in on regular season rate etc. We got that deal this Oct., we check in on the 2nd. at the Poly on value rate, but the season changes a few days later to regular. Such a deal, and a nice thing for Disney to do.

Thanks! I figured it would work the same with AAA discounted rates. When I looked up a stay from October 4, 2006 checking out October 12, 2006 through AAA's website they were charging me one rate on the first day ($63.20) and a higher rate for the remaining days ($84.15).

Definitely! It is quite nice for them to be giving the lower, check-in, rate for the entire stay. Even when most of the stay is in the higher rate time frame.

When I booked a AAA rate through CRO, they gave me the same rate for the whole stay.

When I look up my dates on the AAA website it shows a rate change in the middle of my stay. I would love to be able to take advantage of that rate change without checking out and in, but after my few conversations with AAA I do not trust them at all and I won't reserve through their website.

It's not AAA's doing, it's Disney's. You must officially check out and check back in if you want to split your stay. Unfortunately, Disney is very candid in telling you there's a decent chance you may need to switch rooms. At least they're being upfront about it. Likewise, I wouldn't trust this booking through AAA's website, but I would do it with a good AAA Agent. The key is having the linked booking mentioned and cross-referenced in the notes -- something you can't do on your own without an agent, or if you're only booking a room (not a package) with Disney's CRO.
