AAA Rate Availability

Honestly, what are the chances of a room at an AAA rate coming up at the GF for December.

We currently have a room booked and would like to stay there but we are able to get a room at the YC or Poly at an AAA rate which would cost at lot less.

If somebody cnx's does the room go back to AAA availability or normal rate?

I reserved AAA GF Garden View for December '08 today. I was trying to save a bit of money and there were no standard rooms at Contemporary or Poly! For a year away! I can't figure that out!

I tried to reserve WL, Contemporary or Poly for NEXT DECEMBER and they are all out of AAA rates for all three resorts.

Now I am starting to wonder if there is something wierd going on with AAA rates. I was looking at their website yesterday for their Jan. '08 rates, and all the rates listed were the Disney rack rates.

Last year we made AAA rate reservations in Feb. '06 for Dec '06 with no problem. I can't imaginge there not being something now for Dec. '08.

Maybe they are no longer offering AAA rates for room only starting in '08? Maybe they are going to go to only AAA packages or something?

I'm not sure the CCE or CCF code will help as we are checking in in value season and the rate changes to holiday rates a few nights later.

Any codes that have come out since Aug would all end up costing us more

How early to they post their rates? I thought this would be too early to book for next December. I would keep looking for this December, I found a rate for the beginning of January ( but it is not my resort). You never know when someone is going to cancel last minute. I also found a great one for spring break, but of course I am not going this time.

I booked room only for AKL 08 last month, so they are still available. I booked mine through CRO.



AAA rooms for 2008 were released in August. Only a certain number of rooms are set aside for AAA and once they are gone, that is it. At least that is what CRO told me and I have read it elsewhere on these boards. As soon as I heard that, I booked for next August. I wanted AK Club Level and didn't want to take any chances. I don't know what happens if someone cancels.

I tried booking AAA rate at Poly GVC the day the rates were released--zero, zippo, and nada for that room category. They had LVC and the other room categories, but nothing for GVC.

So, moral of the story must be that sometimes they actually have no rooms at AAA rates for a given category. That was the first time I have been unable to book with AAA rate since we began to stay at Polynesian in the mid 90s.

I know the resort itself isn't packed for our time frame because there is nonconcierge availability, but the concierge level has become far too popular I guess.
