Is the AAA discount on room only ressies or can you use it on packages with DDP too?

We booked with AAA about 3 weeks ago. We are getting 20% off the price of the room for a value resort. We did get our park tickets and DDP through AAA too. We are saving about $343 for 2 rooms at POP for 6 nights. It was worth joining AAA to me.

You can use a AAA discount on a package, but the discount is actually off the room portion. You have to book directly with AAA, not Disney, and you can't use the AAA discount with other discounts like free dining.

Thank you! So you can book AAA with Disney if it is a room only ressie but if you want to book a package you have to do it directly with AAA and the discount still only comes off the room part of the package. I think I got it now!

You've got it! :thumbsup2

I believe AAA gives discounts on Park Tickets also. I did a comparison and they seemed cheaper than the regular rates.

I'm using AAA for the second time. We book room, tickets, and DDP through an AAA agent and get an AAA discount off the room portion of the package. For us, it's coming out to close to $400 off eight nights at the Poly for 5 of us in July.

If you try to call Disney direct and get the AAA discount, they will only sell you a room--no packages. To get the package, you need to go through AAA.

I have a different sort of question about AAA packages - does the Disney Visa 6 month 0% financing apply to those as well? I'm pretty sure about the answer - I think it should be "yes" - but wanted to make sure.

Anyone know for sure? Thanks!

Hi Kira,

It worked for me last year, and I'm doing it again this year!
