We are deciding between offsite and onsite. I have a few questions
Is it worth it to get AAA then book the room? we will probably stay at one of the values. What would the room discount be? could we add on the dining plan if we book the room with AAA?
Thanks for any answers. Right now it looks like staying at the all stars with the dining plan will be about 1800 for us. would love to save a little to convince dh to stay onsite! =)

You don't have to have a AAA membership to make the booking - you just have to show your card upon check-in. Savings for a room-only reservation depend upon the resort/season.

We stay at Ft. Wilderness and save about 10% with a AAA discount. We get free maps/tour books, towing, road service and discounts on other things as well ... we've always gotten our money's worth from having a membership!!!

I would have an AAA agent give me a quote. Do a search. There are several that are disney experts on this web site. I did that and saved quite a bit!! $600 on 3 rooms. Yes, you can add the dining plan.

If you call WDW they can quote you a AAA discounted room rate ...

We purchased AAA membership last year just to get the discount on a Disney Dining package. We saved about $600 booking our Poly LVC room through AAA. Well worth the $70 it costs to join.

As an added bonus, I actually had to have my car towed a few weeks ago for the first time in years. I was able to use AAA towing and paid nothing!

I booked throught AAA for my upcoming September trip and saved $400 on the package....well worth it....I booked my trip but I haven't signed up for AAA yet, I just have to do it sometime between now and September.

AAA is saving me over $500 even with having to pay the $74 for a membership..I think I'm going to use that savings to change over to the Poly from the WL.

I was told I didn't need to join until about a month before our trip..and that was to give me time to get my cards in the mail!

I just used my AAA card to book a room only rate. :thumbsup2 Saved some $$ but waiting on the Fl. Resident code to save more. ;)
