AAA Perks

It is possible that the AAA TA was talking about 2007 packages with enhanced fastpass. The 2007 packages haven't come out yet, maybe enhanced fastpass is part of that. Hmmmm. Interesting......

What is AAA Story Time? :confused3

If you book a package through AAA you receive a voucher to attend a character storytime at MK. You call to reserve 90 days in advance. It is offered on Monday and Thursday and lasts about 20 minutes. I'll know more after our trip next month! :)

Why do you feel sorry for me? I feel sorry for the TA's that claim to know there job and actually don't. It makes the rest of us have a bad name. But thats life I guess in any field. I also feel sorry for those who book with those TA's and then don't know any better.

Ahhh why must you make fun of us travel agents??? haha just kidding
As a travel agent myself, I can say there are a few of them out there who do not know what they are doing most of the time. I hear some things that they say and I just have to correct them. It wouldn't be right doing the job we do while giving out false information.

Because I felt like you must feel trashed on these boards.... AAA TA's take a beating here (or as I read your post I may have misunderstood and you might not be an AAA TA in which case I shouldn't have felt sorry) Having worked for places where they got bad publicity for a few bad apples I know it's ususally discouraging to those who are doing a good job!

Be careful re AAA "Discount Rates". I reserved a room last March for the 20% off rooms from Dec.4-9. I went in yesterday to convert it to a package at the "AAA Discount Rate" and it came out to $200 MORE than on the Disney website. Same date, same tickets, same dining plan. I called them today and got a major runaround. The TA I worked with said she "didn't know why" it was more and that I was the THIRD client who had had that difficulty. If that was the case. you would think THEY would find out WHY. But all they care about is getting their commission. When I really pressed them for the reason, they said I was getting some "perks" like free parking (can't use it because we are using Disney Transportation) and discounts on meals (can't use it because we are on the dining plan---which THEY sold me!) I now have a complaint lodged with the BBB. Don't make the same mistake I did in believing that a AAA Discount Rate means you are actually getting a discount. You're not!

I did get a AAA rate and kept my original reservation that I made in March. Ticket prices have gone up since then and maybe a month out when you switched reservations the increase came because of price increases associated with that. There could be legitimate reasons and you are correct they should be able to tell you why, but not all people are getting screwed by booking through AAA. My MYW package is about $500 less than Disney rates.

No enhanced fast pass at WDW. Just because she is a TA doesn't mean she knows about Disney. Ask her if she is a grad of the College of Disney Knowledge.

Better yet, ask her if she can even spell college.

I have a reservation on hold with a AAA agent as follows-

2 nights camping at Ft. Wilderness
4 Day Magic Your Way Base Tickets (3 adults, 2 children)

I have been told that this itinerary fully qualifies for AAA perks including-

Diamond discount card
Diamond parking
Enhanced Fastpass for all 4 days of the MYW base ticket (even though we only have 2 nights of lodging)

Does this sound right to everyone?? I was under the impression that you had to book a certain level of resort to qualify for the enhanced fastpass.

My current plan is to pay for the campsite and let it sit. Basically, I'll be getting the AAA benefits for $80.

Any thoughts would be welcome.

Thanks!

Are you planning on using the campsites or did you just reserve them to get the AAA benefits?
