Not sure it this applies to all the parks or not, but we could not use our AAA parking pass during the first week in January at Epcot. They are using that parking already for the marathon on the 8th. Get their a half hour before opening and you can get parking equal or better anyway.

There are blackout dates printed on the back of the pass. If that week is on there, then you can't use it at the others. If not, it may have only been Epcot.

I'm curious where the AAA parking is located. Is it up at the front? When we get to the parking attendant, do we just show the parking card from AAA?

Show it to the parking attendant. They will tell you what path to follow. There will be another attendant about halfway up (if you're there a few hours before the park closes, chances are nobody will be there), and show it to that person. They'll wave you through.

The AAA parking is right next to the handicapped parking at all of the theme park parking lots.

Who is eligible for AAA parking. We have AAA membership, so is it available to us, or is it an option we can obtain through AAA?

The use of the AAA parking pass doesn't always work, even when it is not a blackout date. We tried to use ours at DMGM and were told no. It was not a blackout date. We were able to use it at EPCOT. We got to the TTC really early one day and just parked with everyone else. MK was listed as a blackout, so we didn't try. You are suppose to receive the AAA Diamond Parking Pass when you purchase your tickets at AAA. We bought a PH, but only used 4 of the 5 days, so now we don't have a parking pass for 2005. I am going to try and get another parking pass when we go back in August. Hope it works. My DH likes to drive to some of the parks, so it comes in handy.

It varies from location to location. I think the majority of branches give you a pass if you purchase just tickets - but I've heard reports of having to buy a vacation package.

We used the parking pass last year at the end of Jan. and while the AAA parking was open, we found it pretty useless. We found that the regular parking spaces available (since it wasn't a busy time) were closer than the AAA spaces.

I have a question reguarding the Kennel & Disney Dining Card Parking at Epcot if the AAA is closed off for the runners... the Kennel area must be also. Can anyone confirm that?? I thought the AAA/ DDC & Kennel parking were all in the same area....near the Kennal in the Epcot lot? If some one is going with a pet, will they have to walk all thru the parking area's with them???

The AAA parking passses come with ticket purchases from AAA. We bought 2 of our hopper tickets from them just to get the pass. The "Diamond Package" which gives you parking and preferred seating for fireworks, etc is what you get when you purchase one of the complete packages from them. They are completely different.

The only blackout date on the pass for the week was NYE, so we were ticked off that the pass was not good at Epcot on the 5th. The marathon is planned well in advance, they should have been able to list this date on the pass.

In any case, the parking as someone else said is right next to the handicapped parking. In most cases, if you get there 30 minutes before park opening, you get the same or better parking. I would imagine if you are a late riser, you would be in the second or third lots and therefore it would be a good deal for you to use the pass.

I understand that they are completely different.

Some locations won't give you the pass unless you get the vacation package that does come with all of those extras (seating for fireworks, and MK lounge use)
