AAA Parking Pass - how to use?

I am going to WDW in January. As you can see from my signature, I've been there multiple times. However, DH and I have elected to rely on WDW transportation each time. This time, it's a very quick trip (only 2.5 park days!) and I think it might be faster to drive some places.

We are AAA members and always book our hotel/tickets through them. We always get a parking pass which we never use. I think we may make use of it this time. We are planning to get to the parks early and won't be there during a peak time, so I'm hoping the lots will be available.

My question is, how do I use the pass? Do I just show it to the first attendant I see and they'll point me in the right direction?

Thanks for any advice!

Yup...show it to the parking attendant, who will in turn direct you to the AAA area. It's pretty easy to do.

We usually tell the attendant at the booth that we have the AAA parking pass and they just tell us where to go (at AK they tell you what color line to follow). At AK we are usually asked just before getting to the designated area to see the pass so they can check it and then they tell you what aisles to park in.

At DHS we found out you should hold the pass up when aproaching the parking lot rampers who direct traffic to the spaces. They were trying to route us to the regular parking spots and when I pointed out the AAA pass on the dashboard the guy said I should have held it up as I was driving toward him so he could see it from a distance. Once he acknowledged us as authorized he let us pass through to the front of the park to where the AAA spots were located.

At most of the other parks showed it to the attendents at the booth and they would direct me to follow a certain colored line on the ground. I think the blue lines are for handicapped spaces and green is usually for AAA which is usually close to the handicapped spaces.
