AAA parking at parks

Hi we booked thru CAA/AAA and have a diamond AAA parking card.

What is AAA parking???? Is it smart to use it, or just find your own spots???

It gets you closer to the main entrance of th e parks. Most of the time you can avoid taking the trams in the parking lots and walk to the park entrance.
it's great if you have kids and strollers.
When you're finished using the pass I'd appreciate it if you could send it my way. We're going during April school vacation and it sure would come in handy for us.

it is next to handicapped parking. don't like it for MK.

but it is great for the other parks.

Just two warnings:

1) AK's AAA lot is TINY! If you don't get there early, it might well be filled.

2) At MK, they sometimes arbitrarily won't let you park there, even if it's not filled. I arrived just past opening one day and the CM forced me to park in the regular lot, saying AAA was full. I knew there was no way it was, nor was it a blackout date. I mentioned it to the tram driver and she said that they do that sometimes...there was some weird reason, like they didn't have enough people or wanted to keep the traffic flowing a certain way or whatever. Sure enough, when we passed AAA there was plenty of space.

What is AAA parking and who can get it and how?

Each AAA office is a little different but if you book your Disney trip through a AAA travel office they offer you/give you a AAA Priority/Diamond parking pass for the Disney Theme park parking lots.
You still have to pay the regular parking rate but you get a more convienent parking spot closer to the park entrance.
6 years ago I bought my Disney tickets at a local AAA travel office and they gave me a AAA parking pass.
A couple of years ago I bought my Disney tickets at a different AAA office and they told me I had to book the complete trip to get the AAA parking pass.

The passes aren't transferable and they are dated by year. Just book your trip through AAA and get one the correct way, otherwise it reduces the available spaces for those who DID come by their passes legitimately.

Or you could just buy one on Ebay. Seems to be quite the market for them.
