AAA Package Question

Hello, I'm wondering if there is any benefit to booking a Disneyland package through AAA anymore. Last year you could get unlimited fastpasses if you booked your tickets through AAA and stayed at a Disney hotel. Does anyone know if this promotion is still going on? I didn't notice it on the website. Does anyone know of any other packages that offer good perks? Thanks!

They dont offer the unlimited fastpasses any more, but Im saving about 400. at the GCH for 8 nights. And you get free parking at the parks. Which you dont need if your staying onsite, but if your not, it might help.

Bummer, about the FP option going away. Called the local agent and she thought it was still in effect. Can not find any link to it.

We went in April last year and it was in effect, but that was last year.

I went in December durinf Christmas and I booked with AAA but we just used a fast pass one at a time, didn't have to get many and the reason for that is all the rides we wanted were not on FP. I think that ended with AAA Dec 31, 2006

To answer your question about any packages offering perks...we just booked through Costco again. They won hands down over AAA, by price and perks. You get a free character breakfast, $20 gift card which can be used for anything in the park (food, clothes...) and tickets to Morning Maddness. We booked at a GN hotel not a DL owned one. The AAA didn't offer the two things listed above and the price was $30 more...so for our package we saved well over $100 btw Costco and AAA. Another place you can look is getawaytoday. com but I think the other two have it beat.

Does the Costco package give you priotity seating to Alladin as well?

I am a total DL newbie (WDW tons of times and always with AP or AAA room only ressies) and I just booked a AAA package yesterday for my March trip.

I looked at Costco packages, room only with AAA rate + tickets at their special rate booked thru DL, and AAA's packages.

When I spoke with the AAA rep she told me AAA is bargaining to keep the fpasses in their package. She said as of NOW it is in but may not be when we go. :confused3 With this AAA package I get some early morning stuff, some priority seatings, some refillale mugs that can be used in the parks, and misc. other "collectible" junk, and I was able to book a concierge room which I could not do thru Costco.

I honestly don't feel like I saved any money at all, though. It comes out pretty much the same whether I booked room only and purchased my tickets, booked thru WDTC and took their $150 gift card. Costco would have been a bit better but we wanted concierge. To me, it seemed no matter which way I priced it, it was always about the same amt of money - too much. ;) Especially now that I found out alot of great things will be "down" during what DL considers "Value Season" even though I am paying as much during this "Value Season" as we pay at the Grand Floridian concierge in WDW during "Peak Season"

Jack....I’m no expert, haven’t been to DL for a few years…. but……what I have gleaned off the DIS boards is: call the resort direct 3 days before you arrive and ask for this to be noted on your ressies. I would also call the resort shortly after you book to have them note it on your ressie.

Ok… in the new book for AAA packages. (just read it Tuesday) You get a lanyard with pin ( I think this was up to two), a collectable coin, priority seating at a show in DCA (Aladdin if it’s still playing when you go) and priority seating for TurtleTalk. If traveling between now and the end of April you receive a cert for $150.00 that is good at some shop/restaurants and adults pay the kids price on park entry tickets that are 3 days and over.

Thanks for the reply..All those little extra's are meaningless to me. But screwing up my vacation because of booking issue's doesn't work. I will take your advice...but sure would like that guaruntee.
