AAA package - is dining plan discounted?

We just booked a room thru Disney using our triple AAA and got a discount. If I book a package thru Triple AAA and get the dining plan, is the dining plan discounted too? Or just the room portion?

Then our local AAA TA must have given me erroneous information. I was under the same impression, discount only on the room portion. When I asked for a quote, she told me the entire package was discounted. Very frustrating. Makes me want to book on my own again like I did last time, but I want to be able to add dining. Hopefully Disney will come out with a code so I don't have to deal with AAA.

I was hesitant about booking through AAA too, because I've read some horror stories about it on the boards. I lucked out and found a great AAA agent on here, and she's been fantastic. It's nice to have a DISer handling our trip becaue I know she knows her stuff!

Hi guys, just a friendly reminder that if information cannot be posted here on the DIS (for whatever reason) please do not ask for it to be sent via PM.

I understand wanting to share information regarding great agents (having a great agent is really an asset), but keep in mind that *if* the information you wish to pass along cannot be posted on the boards (such as phone numbers/email addresses) then using PMs to request it is a violation of board posting guidelines. There are some agents/agencies that are not allowed to be posted on the DIS (for various reasons, per the determination of the webmasters.)

Hi Sue Ellen!! I've pm'ed my agents info to people because that's the way it seemed to be done on here - I apologize if that was a violation of board rules! I should have looked up the policies myself, instead of just looking at what others were doing.

Are we allowed to share our agent's info in posts? We're just planning our first trip, so I searched high and low for the best agency to use before I found the DIS, and a wonderful DIS'er/AAA agent in the process. I'd love to make that search easier for someone else!

I'd like to know this too. I've seen several people name AAA TA's by name to help out other DISers. In fact, I was hoping to ask in the near future for people to make suggestions to me.

Is there any way we could get a list of all the people and agencies we AREN'T supposed to mention so we can make sure we don't mention them?!

Seriously, it seems like this is the perfect place to ask for referrals!

Sorry, I have been busy with work and had not checked this thread.

There is not a list that says who can and cannot be posted.
Basically if what you post shows up as **** or is edited out then it is not allowed.

If you wish to recommend someone if a poster asks then that is fine, but posting phone numbers and email addresses is not.

For example you can say I use "name" at "agency" (if the agency and/or agent is not part of the filter) If the web address of their agency is not filtered then a link to the agency website is okay to post. If that link shows up as **** when you post then it's not allowed on the site (don't worry, the filter does a pretty good job of taking out the things not allowed to be posted, and admin tries to catch those that the filter misses.) If someone is continually pushing a particular agency it can be construed as "advertising" for that agency. Only paying board sponsor (advertisers) are allowed to do this.
We ask that you not try to "get around" the word filter by posting things in "creative" ways.

Asking for someone to PM you information that cannot be posted on the boards is also not okay, nor is saying "sent you a PM" to send info that is not supposed to be posted.
