AAA Package - add on dining??

Currently we have a package booked through AAA - 9 nights @ POFQ, MYW 8-day tickets w/ hopping and the dining package for arrival on Dec 17th.

Do you know if I drop the dining part of the package before my final deposit it due, can I add it back on sometime before we arrive? If so, how long do I have to add it on? I thought I read somewhere it was 5 days before arrival??

Why don't you just wait until you decide once and for all if you want dining or not?? What would be the advantage of dropping it and adding it back on later?

...oh never mind, I just figured it out...then you wouldn't have to pay the 45 days in advance for the dining....I get it.

Our AAA agent told me you had to add the dining a minimum of 14 days in advance...but that was several months ago and I don't know if that was AAA's requirement or Disneys.
 
Bumping this up. Anyone know for sure how many days before arrival you can add dining?
 
I asked this question this morning for a client and was told 72 hours prior to arrival for adding dining

Thank you. I currently have the dining but, like the OP, am thinking of taking it off for now and adding it later. It would mean $521.82 less to pay by my 45 day mark, which is Dec 15th--right before Santa's big day. Santa could really use that money!

Another question. I currently have the package with code YRD, booked thru AAA. If I take off the dining, will that mess up my ressie? Will I lose the discount?

They will have to switch your package as the "D" stands for dining. I would think it isn't a problem as it you are still holding the package room. If I were doing this for a client I would confirm with CM before doing that it can still be added back and be sure to record their name in case there is a problem later but I don't anticipate one.

Thanks. I thought it would have to be changed from YRD to YRE. So, if YRE is available, it should be no problem.

I just know I am going to confuse the heck out of my AAA TA! I bet she shudders every time I call...
