AAA Month Merchandise Voucher

I just received my AAA packet which included a voucher for Planet Hollywood and also, to my surprise, a merchandise voucher. It says that it may be redeemed for either a "Mickey Plays when Walt's Away" clock or a "Mickey Photo Frame Memory Box." Does anyone know if these are worthwhile items? I don't want to spend a lot of time in line waiting to redeem the vouchers if it turns out that it's simply a piece of paper or something. Any insight? Thanks in advance. :)

I got the memory box during our April stay. I think it's really cute. It has a little place for a picture on the top of the box. You probably won't have to stand in a very long line to redeem it. We were able to redeem our voucher at the store in our resort (AKL). There are ALOT of places to redeem the voucher.

I don't recall what the clock looked like. As soon as I saw the memory box I knew I wanted it. Along the way I have bought a memory box with a little frame on top for each of my kids and still had not bought one for the youngest. So, I was just so excited to be able to get exactly what I was looking for (and to get it FREE from Disney) that I don't even remember looking at the clock. The memory box is cheap fake wood. But, it has Mickey Mouse on top along with the place for a picture.

Enjoy your trip!

How do you qualify for this? I'm in AAA, do you have to book your trip through them?

Yes, I simply booked through AAA and got several freebies (Planet Hollywood, Merchandise Voucher, Storyteller Coupons, AAA Parking Pass). No extra charge.

I Googled the image... I got the Memory Box when we were there in 2004 with the old Silver Plan. I liked it - had some Mickey images on the top (looked like large flat versions of a pin... what's that word? Starts with a "c"... Cloisenelle? That's totally wrong.) and a frame where you could put a picture. I'd post a picture of mine, but unfortunately it was lost in our "great apartment fire of 2005." :( Maybe I'll get another one in October... :)

Wow -- is that an actual picture of the clock you can get? It's so cute. I figured it would be a piece of junk. I tried googling too, but did not find it -- you're a better "googler" than I am ... lol. Thanks so much. :wave2:

Ah, yes, I'm a "professional googler" ;)

I found that image from a Disney International page that was advertising that as one of the free gifts that you could get if you booked through them, so I'm pretty sure that would be the actual free gift clock. Pretty cool. :)

I booked through AAA also back in January- i was told i would get a clock. my ressies were for Sept (before the free dining was even announced)

when the announcement was made i quickly called my AAA TA and told her to rebook under the free dining pkg. .....she sd OK- but i just want you to know that since you will be getting the free dining... you wont be eligible for the free clock! :rolleyes2

..........ahhhhhh- thats just fine with me......now book it! :sad2:

:confused3 big decision....free clock...or free dining :confused3

.....that was hard one to ponder! :scratchin

What a tough decision you had to make -- free dining or a clock!! What a no-brainer! Have a great time eating and eating and eating. lol. Guess I'll just be watching the hands go around! :mickeyjum
