I called AAA and they mentioned that there was going too be a ticket change soon. Has anyone else herd about this? Maybe it is just a change at the AAA office.

Thanks Tigger

It would be pretty early for a price increase.

I know that 2007 packages are supposed to come out in August and there is some talk about how those will look -- i.e. will they still have MYW tickets, what will the dining plan look like/cost? It could be that your AAA agent had heard those same rumors. I think that if there's going to be a major change to the MYW tickets/program, it will probably be announced in August when the packages are released.

I wonder if they are going to require your park passes and resort nights to be equal in order to book the dining the plan? :confused3
(If you book a 10 night dining package, you won't be able to just purchase a one day base ticket.)

I never understood why they haven't required that from the start.

Actually, I like it better the way it is now. It allows you to choose when you are going to the park and how many days you want, hopping or no hopping, water parks or no, etc. For families who do not value the hoppers or the plus options, they have the choice and just paying for the base. If I am staying for 7 night, and only plan on going into the park 5 of them, why should I be forced to pay for a 7 day hopper? Besides, if I want to have the days of my ticket match the days of my stay, I can do that, as well. Plus, think of those who go many times per year and have annual passes...but cannot do the dining plan unless they are booked on a package. They have paid over $400 for those annual passes...why should they be req'd. to fork over another couple hundred if they would like to be on the dining plan, too? Magic Your Way is what it is...Your Way, Your Choice. I do think they should make the dining plan more accesssible to guests who do not book a package or have annual passes. Just my opinion...

If they require you to purchase tickets for the length of stay that would give me a reson not to get the dining plan. I normally need one day just to enjoy the resort.

This would be like they used to do with the length of stay passes or Ultimate park hoppers. I would not be surprised--they seem to change everything just when I have it figured out!

Perhaps, but what we've found is that to get an extra day's admission costs about $2 per person -- no big deal.

Considering that most posts I read on the Resort board have pretty much made be think that your average AAA TA doesn't have a CLUE how Disney works, I would not consider an AAA TA a great source of info.

CaroleA

I think you are so right. They should make me an AAA for Disney.

I called yesterday to book a package for Feb. I was told the new packages aren't out yet. By the end of Aug.

If the package requires the same number of tickets as nights... You can count us out of the packages... and I love the packages with the dining plan!
We're going to the pirates/princess event 2x's and we don't need separate passes for that day. We take the day off to relax so we can make it until 12:30 am ... I sure hope disney doesn't change the way the packages are done.
I'm sure the ticket prices will increase, but I'm wondering if the dining plan will cut back on the amount of food?? :confused3 Now I can't wait to find out.

If this would be the case, I'd probably not do the dining. I've got an Annual Pass this year (first time) and I don't mind buying one-day passes to make it a "package", but I don't want to be forced to buy a multi-day pass because of extra cost, just to get dining (even though I can hold onto it and use it later).
