AAA Membership

I am thinking about joining the AAA so that I can recieve discounts on the Universal hotels. I have an annual pass but currently the discount is better with AAA. I have a couple of questions:
1). Can I reserve the room through Universal reservations or do I have to use AAA reservation line ?
2). Can I just get the membership for myself @ $60.00 or do I need to add my husband for an additional $30.00 ?

You can actually make the reservations online by putting 'AAA' in the discount code box. If you want to call though you do not have to go through AAA, you can call the hotel directly. You only need a AAA membership for the name that the reservation is under.

Suebill, since you already have an ap, i would book using AAA code, but wait to actually buy it until right before you go. The AP rates might still drop and then you would want to change to that. No since in buying AAA if you dont need to.

That is a great idea ! I reserved the room today using the AAA discount. Who knows, maybe the AP rate will go down later.
