I wonder if someone can confirm if there is a AAA lounge in Magic Kingdom (I presume that the other 3 WDW theme parks do not have a lounge?). How does one get access to the lounge, and what does the lounge offer?

I know that AAA used to have a lounge somewhere in WDW but I can't remember exactly where. It may have been in MK by the speedway ride. I remember going in and getting a can of pop. It was air conditioned and we sat for a while to cool down.

I read recently that the AAA lounge is in tomorrowland near the carousel of progress. AAA members who purchased their park tickets through AAA may use the lounge at their leisure and are entitled to one free soft drink.

My knowledge of it is only secondhand.
It is (or was) back in the corner of tomorrow land between the exit for Buzz Lightyear and the Carousel of Progress.
I have never been a AAA member and not enjoyed the benefit of that particular lounge.

However our family was fortunate enough to enjoy the (now closed) lounge at Space Mountain that had a nice air conditioned seating area, free cold drinks and when you were done enjoying your respite, an escort to the front of the line for the ride. It was sponsored by the folks at Federal Express. In fact it was so long ago that it was pre fastpass days as they used the right side line to take us up for the ride with no wait. That and the AAA lounge were the only ones we "knew" about at Magic Kingdom.
Now EPCOT, that is a different story with several VIP lounges that have been and gone and some that are still there.

My dad worked for FedEx and we went through the pre fast pass right side with no wait. People were not too happy with us. But we were there over Easter, it was like 11:30 at night and it was our only day at the MK. The line was so long we knew we would never make it on the ride before park closing. My cousin asked the CM if someone who worked for FedEx got any benefits and we were told if they have their ID, we can go to the front of the line. This was also pre cell phone so we had to go running around looking for my dad. Luckily he always carried his ID so we got to ride! We felt like VIPs! We weren't told about the lounge though. We never knew it existed! This was also when we were rookies and didn't know to ASK about things. lol.

I always buy my tickets from AAA. Next time, I will have to ask.

Interesting- DH is a member of AAA... I'm not sure if we get our tickets through them or not.

Seems to be closed anyway though... so.

I got to use the Metlife lounge at Wonders of Life. My dad worked for Met and we went in the lounge for a rest before we got front of the line for Body Wars. There were drinks and snacks, a tv playing Disney cartoons, and the place had a carnival decor (though it might have been the chalk scene from Mary Poppins). I distinctly recall them having a couple of carousel horses for us to sit on.

Can anyone confirm if this lounge is still open though? I worked for AAA from 2008-2010 and booked my trip with AAA in 2011 and never heard of this as a recent perk.
