For all who are planning a trip to DL we all know packages arent usually the best way to go. But i was surprised that AAA offered me a better Delux Flex Pass than my Disney Club membership.
Free parking
E-Entry each day offered {there is no E_Entry on wednesday or Sundays}
$10 in play @ dOWN TOWN DISNEY
magic morning breakfest of choice of 2 tours
and can up gradd to goofies kitchen for $10\adult or $2\child
with our disney pass there is no free parking and E-Entry only one day and California Adventure only 1 day out of a 3 day flex.
with AAA you could go to CA everyday.
Also found Best Inn at 1602 Harbor thats right across from DL offers
2 queen beds
frig\micro\coffee maker
free breakfest
pool and spa
all for $49\night even in May which combined with AAA passes made for an really aforable trip.
Make sure you mention AAA when you make res. we will be there 5\5-5\15 at $49\night even then. Oh they just did a complete remodle Sept. 2000 so all new carpet and paint!! There phone is 1-888-686-1122 or check out there rooms at
www.anaheimbestinn.com
When i checked on line though rooms were $59 instead of $49 so just look at the pictures and call direct. Lisa

Lisa,

When I checked our AAA out here (in MA) the price was $10 more per pass (it might have been more actually). Did you find a difference in price vs the Disney Club rates? I couldn't even buy them over the phone, they all told me (including the HQ in FL) that I must pruchase them in person. Our local AAA doesn't even sell them, just WDW passes.

Thanks for the great heads-up! I will check with triple A about the Flex Pass. How many days was your pass, five? Cost?

I have always had good prices from Southwest vacations too. From Boise it is to SLC, then direct to LAX. Check out their website if your curious.

Ok,

I just got the low down on the AAA tickets thru our local branch. The Disneyland passport plus 3 day prices are, adults= $116 and children ages 3-9 =$93 ea. The Prices thru Disney/Disneyland are $111 for adults and $87 for kids (Not including disney club coupons when available) Disney club does NOT offer continual discounts, they offer coupons for certain promotion periods (dates) and you have to use them during those dates listed on the coupon. Unlike the MKC card, you could use your discount all yr long and for all merchandise excluding park admissions. This new club, only offers certain discounts at certain times and they limit the merchandise you can apply discounts to. I am a BIG collectibles buyer and the Disney club doesn't allow discounts on collectibles or plush toys. I'm not going to be using this club much at all. Too many limitations.

I like the features on the AAA passport better even for $5 more pp. They have the early entry each day of the pass and the breakfast too. I think I'm going to get these, but first I would like to check the Southwest site for info on thier passes.

Thanks for the tip :)

ok sorry if i confused anyone. You must order the AAA tickets by phone. The local AAA only sell in our area not near as good of deal when you call this AAA number i also foundMarylee a great help she will even make PS for you too cool.
AAA1-800-999-9391{Marylee ext. is 115}
Heare the low down once more:
Disney's AAA Passport Plus includes:
Disneyland And CA Flex Passport
Compllimentary Early admission to Disneyland on Multiple days
Disneyland Magic Feature which includes one choice per person from the following:
Magic morning breakfest durning E-Entry
Walk in Walts footsteps tour

$10 ESPN zone game card redeamable at the Downtown Disney area {one per person}
### also the choice to up grade your magic morning breakfest to Goofies kitchen etc for $10 per adult or $2 per child.
Also realise with AAA you could chose to do CA the whole time with other passes its once per pass
Prices:3-day $116 per adult $93 child
4 day $ 141 per adult $ 112 per child
5 day $162 per adult $112 per child
6 day $$181 per adult $143 per child

{plus a $10 per ORDER not ticket is charged the special mail to you they told me they needed 5 days prior to get them to you}
Hope this helps, Lisa
PS my airfair is from Boise to San Fransisco to LAX round trip is $130 including airport charges and tax thats with United and i get double miles added to my account. Im so close to a free trip WDW here i come in December!! My total on my credit card was $516.78 for 4 of us my mom is a senior so her ticket was like 12 dolllars cheaper. We leave 5\5 -5\15 so I'll be reporting backon how things went after that. Lisa
Ps all this info is in the AAA vacations {light blue cover } Disneyland Resort in Ca book January1-December 31,2001 book goood luck everyone on finding goood deals that work for you all. The money we can save on each trip equals we get to go more!! And i love that!!

Lisa,

Even though they cost $5 more than Disney prices, they have much better benefits and worth every cent more. We ordered ours yesterday and paid $93/child, $116/junior and $121/adult (the prices went up on Feb 7th. from the $116/adult price and $87/child.

We will definitely use the $10 ESPN money and the early entries, (they are not open early on Sundays and Wednesdays) and breakfast option. We will probably skip Goffy's kitchen since our youngest is afraid of the Mad Hatter. Can you suggest another character breakfast spot or another good breakfast spot (other than character dining)?

Thanks,

Mel ºOº
:D

Sorry you'll have to take the breakfest ? probably to the boards. We usually only eat at 10:45 at Goofies kitchen since at 11 they bring out lunch idems we dont do breakfest. And when were at WDW we eat at cindys castle at 10:30 and because we dont eat pork they make us a special breakfest and by then weve been up since 5am. Other than those 2 places we usually have fruit then early lunch when were at the parks. Good luck on your search. Lisa

Thanks Lisa! We'll be there about the same time, 5/9-5/12, and I was getting quite discouraged today calling to find a reasonable price for a place to stay. I can't believe how much hotel rooms and flex passes have gone up since last May! We won't even be going to DCA because my little ones are 2 and 4 and I'm expecting #3. But we just have to take these ones to Disneyland this year before the new baby comes. Thanks again for the heads up on Best Inn!

Zimzibubba{sp} the best inn is just straight hotel and AAA is just the flex passes. But IMHO packages never save you money but they are convient. You figure $342 incl tax for 6 nights plus $516 for the 4 day disney passes make it a total of $858 for 6 nights and passes. Every where i looked was way more but remember to get the good AAA passes you must call1-800-999-9391. Good luck Lisa

I justed wanted to add a big "Thank You"! I just ordered my tickets and Marylee was fantastic! Although they are costing a bit more than the same passes offered my Disney, I'm getting free parking (we're staying at the Hilton Suites) worth $28, multiple EE, $10 each to spend at the ESPN club when we come in on Friday night (another $20) and a character breakfast (~$20, I guess). It wasn't clear if the flex passes from Disney included the breakfast, but I would have gone with this anyway for the parking and 3 EE days.

THANKS for the info!! This is the best deal by far that I have seen for Disneyland tickets. I just spoke with Marylee and set up the timeframe for when I need to purchase the passes in order to have them for our June trip. (We're still working out whether we need 3 or 4 day passes) Now I can negiotiate for the lowest motel rates I can get and still have most of the perks of staying on-site!
