Does anyone know what percent off you get with AAA discounts? Does it vary by resort season? If so, I'm interested in the value season at a deluxe resort. I'm already a member, so I figure if I can get a discount, even better. :)

I called WDW last week and got rates on WL and AKL using the AAA discount and it was 10%
Not as much as I had hoped for, but better than nothing! It kind of makes it feel like you are only paying 1 1/2% sales tax instead of 11 1/2% :D

I called yesterday to book a room at the AKL in Jan 2004 with a AAA rate. I figure it at 15% off. Here is the math.

quoted $1,564.00 for six nights. The one night deposit I paid was quoted at $260.63. This is for a regular savanna view room. Both quotes include tax.

Rack rate for Jan 2004 is $275 plus tax for a nightly rate of $306.63. So if my math is correct we are saving about $46 a night or 15%. Feel free to check my math.;)

:pDW and I are going to POR this Dec. and when I first made our reservation I was quoted rack rate of $133 p/night ($148 w/taxes). I called back and changed to AAA rate and was quoted $475 for 4 nites ($118 w/taxes p/night). I figure the room rate minus the 11% tax is $99 p/night. Without any codes for out yet I think thisis a great deal for POR.:p

Please don't think I am acting like a "know-it-all", but the rate per night at POR is actually closer to $109.00 before taxes, not $99.00. I also was quoted this rate with AAA. ASMo is being quoted about 20% off. I grabbed that for the savings. It's actually not that bad. Total is $276.00 for 4 nights with tax. We have never stayed at any of the Allstars. This is the first time we are taking our child who is now 4. I think he'll love it; we'll tolerate it. lol

I have a AAA rate for POR for Thanksgiving week. My rate is $118 per night including taxes. This works out to about $106 per night (about a 20% discount).

but I didn't realize that you could get AAA discount booking through WDW's CRO......

What, if any, is the difference if you book it through your AAA office (like I did for our July 03 FW trip)?

Help

Did you book a package or room only? You can only book a room only AAA discount through CRO to my knowledge. I thought the AAA office could only book packages.

It was a package, including UPH's.

Thanks for the heads up! This could save me some money next time if I don't want their whole package :Pinkbounc
