I know I am probably in the wrong forum, but I didn't want to make a million separate posts. My boyfriend just told me that if I can make it cheap, he'll take me to Disney World for a couple of days in October. I was wondering if the hotels and theme park itself offered special discounts on rooms and park hoppers for AAA members? Or, if there are any other discounts that I could use for the time we are going (Oct. 13-15)?

Also, is MYW worth it? I am not sure how I feel about my luggage being "magically" taken to my hotel - but then again, I am only going for a couple of days so I may be able to use only a carry on. But if not, is the luggage safe this way (I don't want to shell out the extra cash for insurance if I don't have to)?

Moving along, does MNSSHP sell out (I'd be going on Oct. 13)? And how much are tickets and how can I go about purchasing them?

One more question, I promise! :earsgirl: I know that moderate and deluxe resorts will take your luggage and hold it for you when you arrive until your room is ready, and also hold it for you if your flight is later than your check out; do values (we will be staying at Pop Century) offer the same?

I know, lots of questions! Thank you in advance everyone! Have a magical day! :earsboy: ::MickeyMo

There is AAA resort discounts you can call regular WDW reservations and they can give you a room only discount. I do believe it is 20% off values and moderates and 15% off deluxes during value season. During regular season I am pretty sure is is 15% off value and moderate and 10% off deluxe.

I do believe to take the magical express to have your luggage to your room you have to book a package. There is a small package discount through AAA but you have to book that directly through AAA. Other than that no discounts on packages.

MYW are the tickets, those are base tickets where you decide on the number of days and if you want any features like park hopping and no expiration. I do believe you can get the MYW tickets through your AAA office at a small discount.

Go into your AAA office and they should help you out a lot.

MNSSHP I am not sure about sell out. I think the 13th is on a Thursday so its not going to sell out as fast as a Friday or Halloween. You can get tickets now at an advance purchase price so that would save money. They haven't popped online yet to buy but you can call WDW to get them. They are non-refundable though so wait until you are for sure going to go before you purchase any.

I am pretty sure values will also hold your luggage for you when you check out.

Hope this helps some

Yes, values do hold your luggage! My friend and I stayed at POP in March/April and had a wonderful time! On our last day, at about 8 or 9am, we brought luggage outside (there is a stand). We gave them the luggage and got our claim tickets from them. We arrived back about 5pm, gave them our claim tickets and (sadly! :() went home.

Enjoy POP! It's great! If you have any questions, please ask! :)

Actually, I do have a question! Was bus service there bad? I heard from a couple of people that it was horrible, but then I heard from others that it was great. I've stayed at ASMu once before and the bus service wasn't all that great, but it was mainly because the buses were SO crowded because they were split between all three of the All Stars. ::MickeyMo

My friend and I were at Disney for about 5 days. The first two days in the morning the buses were fine, but the last three days the wait times were long. I must admit that my friend and I were impatient (we really wanted to get to the parks) so we got a cab for the last three mornings. However, other than those three mornings, the buses were fine! We took them mid-day, early evening, and late at night and never had a problem. In all reality, we could've waited those three mornings for the bus, but we just didn't want to! :)

Any more questions...please ask! I had a great time at POP! :)

Thanks! We're only going for three days, so the bus thing is crucial to us since we want to get as much in as we possibly can. I think I am all out of questions. :) Thanks for your help! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Not a problem!

I forgot to mention that my friend and I never reserved a taxi, as there was always at least one out in front waiting to take people to the parks. It was very convenient and inexpensive between the two of us.

Have a great time! :)
