Im going to disney in may, and waiting for the c odes, but my dad is a AAA member--is there anyway that we can use his discount? thanks

absolutely!!

as long as your dad is going with you on the trip. when you call reservation center, just ask for AAA rate and if it is available, it will be applied.
think it is 10or 15 percent off

Just be sure to have his AAA number handy, they did ask my for mine when I made my ressie a week ago :cool1:. It seems like AAA must be cracking down on non-members using the cards. I never used to be asked for my number anywhere, now I get asked all the time. I'm finding that even on other hotel websites, I have to put it in before they release the discount. So, just be prepared when you call. :earsboy:

well my dads not going with me,,thats my problem--i have always gone with him to AAA to get travelers checks and had no problem--tahts why i was wondering if he called, could i use his...

Plus you will need the AAA card when you check in and it has to match the name on your credit card. I made a reservation a couple of weeks ago and they gave me the rate without asking for my number. But I will be sure to have the card with me when we check in.

Can you apply the AAA discount on top of discount codes, or is it one or the other?

darn--i was planning on having dad call and make the reservation, put it on his card , then i would have the AAA card..worth a try haha

I just booked our trip through AAA and they took both my # and my fiance's # and put it on the information in the computer. So I'd imagine you'd have to actually be a member. But it's worth the price of membership, you get awesome savings on other things too...

just for our Disney vacation alone we saved $200 (and will get $25 DD at check in) over the Disney Online price. This was a January promotion though so I don't nkow what they have for this month.

tell your dad to go to or call AAA and ask that you be added to his account... i believe it's free for the first extra person and a small fee for more than that... my parents have always done that for us from the day we got our driver's licenses... and 20+ years later, i am still on their AAA account! LOL!

hey do u kno what the AAA rate is?I am a member,,,,we will prolly stay at POP or one of the all stars.unless the AAA rate is so great we can afford much better.....TIA!!!

here's what we were quoted for the POP when we thought about staying there:

2 people, staying May 30-June 7 standard, MYW with dining, 7 day park hopper (expire) was like $1700-1800 or so, give or take a little bit...

I don't remember the exact total we were quoted for so many differenet variables (hotels, length of stay etc.) but that's what I believe it was.

We just booked 7 night MYW package at POR in April for two adults and two teens including the Dining plan and 7 day expiring hoppers for $ 2917 through AAA. We priced several popular Disney travel agents, as well as Disney direct and the AAA rate was the best we could come up with.

(The room only rate was $ 983 for 7 nights at POR.)

Here is the AAA discount info from mousesavers:

"In general, the discounts run as follows:

During Value Season you can get up to 15% off at the Disney Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home resorts, or 20% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.

During Regular Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.

During Peak Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts.

The only time AAA/CAA discounts don't usually apply is Holiday Season (around Christmas).

AAA/CAA discounts are not always the best rates available; if discount codes are active, they usually beat these rates. However, sometimes the AAA/CAA discounts are the only ones available for certain popular times of year. (See the historical trends chart for more details, to get an idea when deeper discounts won't be available.)

You don't have to book AAA/CAA rates through the Auto Club. Room-only reservations with an AAA discount can be booked directly through the Disney Reservation Center at (407) W-DISNEY. Just call and ask if there is an AAA or CAA discount for your dates and resort.

AAA/CAA rates for all of the following year are usually released in the summer. 2005 AAA/CAA "room only" discounts were released in mid-August, 2004."

We're using AAA discounts until we see if codes are released for our dates. :)

Join AAA! It's only like $70, but is worth every penny. They will tow your car if anything ever happens, 24 hours a day! Also if something happens and you run out of gas they send someone out to fill your car up. If you lock your keys in your car they'll pop the lock of your car. Jumpstarts, travel discounts, insurance discounts, it's totally worth it.

for my October 2005 trip. Animal Kingdom Lodge for 7 nights, standard view, was $1553.23 w/o discount; got it for $1319.00 with AAA discount. Had to give my AAA number and expiration date over the phone and was reminded to bring the card with me. :Pinkbounc

Just got my AAA quote for Oct., 2 ppl., 4nts./5days at Poly. with park hopper tix, a $158 difference between AAA and Disney direct. It's worth it to join AAA just for travel discounts.

I should also give the price of what we actually did since it's totally different than the first quote

2 people, May 30-June 6 standard Port Orleans French Quarter, MYW with dining, 7 day park hopper (expire) $2,000, plus we get $25 DD at check in :)
