AAA discount?

I just read on mousesaver.com that you can use AAA to get discounts on rooms. Has anyone tried it? Is it worth it? Can it be used in conjuncion with a WDW discount code?

You can get a AAA room discount. We have only used this once, about 10 yrs ago. I don't remember what the discount was. We used it for a room only booking for 2 nights. You do have to show your card at check-in, & unfortunately, it cannot be used with any other discounts.

I'd call and book the room now as there are a limited number of rooms available with the AAA discount. You can always call and change your rate if a better discount comes out. The AAA discount generally saves you about 10%-20% depending on the season, so if you aren't able to get a better discount, the AAA is better than no discount.

Well it seems like since I've already booked my trip I have to call AAA and have them take over the reservations. I can't just add it to my existing reservation.

Well...it's only 60-100 bucks I'll be saving overall. I'll just wait and see what comes about.

I had called about this yesterday and the CM said it was about a 15% off room only discount. I'm waiting to hear back from AAA regarding their room/ticket package and see the price difference.

I've booked AAA room only rates by calling Disney reservations myself. AAA packages (that include tickets/dining) need to be booked directly with AAA.

I did mine through Disney last time. We had the AAA rate booked, but then free dining came out, and that was better than the 15% I was getting off my room, so we had to give up the AAA rate and change it to rack rate. Totally worth it though for free dining.

I've booked AAA rates often by calling Disney. I usually book my room at AAA discount first, so I know have at least some discount and then patiently wait for GP or AP rates to come out... Right now, I've got August at YC booked at the AAA rate and it's about 20% off (~$60/nt).
