AAA discount ?

Im not 100% sure but I was told by AAA that they also offer a discount on Florida resident annual passes for WDW (which I know includes free parking at all 4 parks) Does anyone on the DIS board know if what I was told was correct? ºOº

We just joined AAA and are thinking of booking our trip with them. I have always done it ourselves. I am a little apprehensive about letting someone else do the calling and planning for me. I would love to save the money though so I think I will bite the bullet and let them handle it. :scared1: I have not talked with our local office yet and not sure how savvy they are on WDW.

Can I use an other office if they are not very knowledgeable?

Now let me see if i have this right. I should ask for any booking offers at the time? Make sure they know about any special offers from Disney like booking codes? What else should I be aware of before I contact them?

Thanks for any info.

You can get an AAA discount on rooms even if you book through Disney yourself. I always call my AAA office and get their price then call Disney, ask for AAA discount, and get a price from them. Lately Disney has had the best price using AAA.

I've tried getting a AAA parking pass from the local office but unless I book through them I cannot get one. Someone on another post mentioned contacting the main AAA office. I emailed them and they sent me a parking pass by snail mail.

How long does it usually take to get your card once your join? I was thinking of joining for the peace of mind of the ride down.

I also believe you get 10% of at the wod store in dtd.

I went into the office nearest to my home and they gave me a temporary card to use until the permanent ones came in. I do not remember exactly how long they took to get to us in the mail but it was very quick.

Also, we asked for the Disney specialists and our TA is great. We did have to make our own ADR's but she took care of everything else. We just had to call her with our flight info since we did not book this through her. We are flying AA for less than $200 round trip from Ohare -Chicago. We could not pass on this.

She was very homest with us when were booking with her. Like we only have so many of these discounts left with WDW travel. Please book asap. Now we had reservations at POR French quarters but AAA had a special going with the Deluxe resorts and we switched over to WL with it only being a little more to get preferred rooms with bunk beds for the kids. I could not pass on this. Plus I have always wanted to stay at WL. When I spoke with my DH about it he said "Do it!!!!". We called her back immediately to switch and now we are jumping out of our skin with our DD's since we leave very soon!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

This is great. We are thinking joining for $50 for two adults and I think we will after reading this thread.

We have used AAA to book the our last 2 trips to Disney. I find it well worth it, not only do you get a discount, but you also get extra perks.....for instance this year the perks are: commemorative luggage tags (1 per person), 5X7 photopass gift certificate, $15 gift certificate to dine @ Planet Hollywood, one round of minigolf, Watercraft rental discount, disney story time experience, and 40 page WDW how to guide. Also you get admission to AAA's hiden lounge in MK...where you get a free drink and can relax as long as you want, we took advantage of the lounge last time we were there to get out of a quick thunderstorm. Plus you also get a discount, just by using AAA to book our trip we saved approx $500 from the price we were quoted from the WDW website. Also you get to park in the AAA parking section @ WDW parks....which is close to the entrance....totally worth it.

Also you get discounts on all trips, not just Disney and they also do customized road maps (if you are going to go on a road trip you give them your destination and they make a customized road TripTik map for you....it is awesome we used it when we took a trip to Canada)

Overall I would totally recommend AAA.

Hi Jen,

I was wondering what level you booked your trip. I received vouchers for all the perks you listed except for the 5x7 photopass. I also didn't receive my diamond discount card. My TA called about that and they said they will have it at check in for me. I guess I booked at the basic level and didn't realize that I didn't get all the perks on the list she sent me. I thought I was getting the special seating for Fireworks/Illuminations but I was told that wasn't so. Maybe I am at the wrong level for the 5x7 too??

Only 13 more days!!! :woohoo: :dance3:
