AAA discount question

Has anyone booked a room at AofA using a AAA discount? The more I look at the pics, the more I think the kids would have an absolute blast when we go next year. And I know they are probably going to be pretty busy so who knows if there will be any discounts. We don't need a suite but if FD came up in them, then it probably would just about even out versus paying for the DP in a LM room. But I thought at least a AAA discount on a LM room would be something.

I have seen posts that people were able to book AoA with AAA.

There just has to be availability. Disney sets aside X number of rooms for AAA discounts. Even if there are rooms available at rack rate, when those discounts are filled, that's it.

AAA discount is available ONLY on suites at AOA. I had it booked, then switched back to POR. From what I was told, NO discounts are being allowed for LM rooms through 2013 as of now.

Huh? That is not what was being reported in your thread. Several people said they got one for the LM rooms. I suspect they are very limited, though.

Maybe your dates were just not available with the AAA discount.

Agree with PP, several people have reported being able to get a discount with AAA on the LM rooms. I priced out a AAA discount for November, but decided to go with another resort. There are blackout dates for AAA, not just for time of the year, but for certain resorts. So you may have asked for a blackout date, or all of the available rate were already booked.
