AAA Discount, is this possible?

I made reservations through disney back in November for our Disneymoon this July. I have just joined AAA and was wondering if Disney would have any discounts I could apply to my reservation because of this? Is it even worth calling? Also (this question may be better posed on the transportation baord but I will try here too) does AAA offer any airline discounts? We are flying out of Portland, OR and the fares are outrageous (over $1000 for the 2 of us roundtrip) so we would love to save any money we can. I know many have posted that you must book a package through AAA to get a discount, but thought I would ask just to be sure. Thanks!

If you booked room only through Disney, you can certainly call to check if there is AAA availability for your time frame. There are a limited number of AAA discounted rooms released but if any are still unbooked, the discount can be applied to your reservation providing you aren't already using another type of discount.

If you booked a package through Disney, you cannot have them apply the AAA discount. You would have to cancel that package and rebook it with a AAA agent in order to get your discount.

We saved approx $300 by booking the AAA discount - 6 nights, regular season at a moderate resort. I think it's probably worth looking into...

We saved close to $400 for 8 nights for the 5 of us at the Polynesian during Value season in July of this year. The www.mousesavers.com site has more info on the specifics. Here's the information there:

AAA and CAA Resort Hotel Discounts
American Automobile Association (AAA) and Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) members qualify for "room only" discounts almost year-round, though there are a limited number of rooms available for each date. You can generally save about 10-20% at the Disney resort hotels, depending on the season.

In general, the discounts run as follows:

During Value Season you can get up to 15% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 20% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.
During Regular Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.
During Peak Season and Summer Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts.
The only time AAA/CAA discounts don't usually apply is Holiday Season (around Christmas) at the Value and Moderate resorts.

This is off the hotel portion of whatever you're booking.

Thanks all for the info, we booked as a package so will probably just stick with what we have- don't want to start all over as we have our ADR's, room requests etc. set but will probably book through AAA for our next trip.
