Wondering if anyone knows exactly what the AAA members diamond parking is at the parks. Do you just show your member card or is it pass that you need to obtain from AAA.?
Hi. We booked the FTP through AAA and they sent us a Diamond Parking Pass. They also gave us a Diamond Club Card. It gives some limited discounts. Now I'm not sure if you are a AAA member, if you can get this. Call them. We are members, but we also booked the FTP through them. You don't need to be a member to book a vacation with them, I believe. The price for FTP was the same as going through Disney, so we did it with them. Hope that helps some.
One word of caution about the Diamond lot for the Magic Kingdom -- it does NOT have tram service, and it is a bit of a walk. (5-10 minute walk, depending on pace)
MGM doesn't have a line to follow. Sometimes when you show the pass to the CMs at MGM they have you park at the end of a row near where the trams stop.
I think you have to book your vacation through AAA to get the Diamond Parking Pass. And you have to have that pass to park in their special lots. You might ask your local office for the pass, but I think they give it to their travel agency customers. Millions of people in the US are members of AAA. Not all of those members are eligible to use the lots.
I don't know if this has changed since 2000, I purchased our park hoppers from the AAA office and asked for the diamond parking pass and they gave it to me.
I was given one in Dec 2002 when I purchased tickets from our local AAA. It wasn't of much use since the pass stated that its use was blacked out during the holiday season.
