Hello,
So my family is arriving next week, staying offsite with rental car, and my colleague is also going during the same time frame. She is staying onsite, no rental car, and purchased her package through AAA. She gave me her AAA Diamond Parking pass, it has her family's name on it, along with the dates of usage. My question is whether or not there are "parking attendants" who check ID's for using the pass or can you just leave it on the dashboard. I have no guilty feelings because I am a AAA member, pay my yearly dues, but we didn't purchase our package from them and the offices here in CT don't "give out" these parking passes without purchasing a resort "package". Anyone have first hand knowledge on whether they check ID's to match names?? Or anything else??? Thanks!!

Didn't know they actually had their name and validity on them.......hmmmmmmmm

Not sure how much time a tenant will have to sit there and check ids.

We have an AAA Diamond Parking pass as well and we have never had any problems using it, actually we have never had to hand it to the attendant. We just hold it up and they direct us to the appropriate parking area. Every once in a while there is an attendant at the TTC lot but again we just flash the pass and park. We have never had to show ID and ours is not signed by us at all ...

In the past we have been given a pass from a friend who purchased their package from AAA and had no need for the pass, we used it with no problem at all!!! :woohoo:

Worth a shot, you are either paying for the parking or are resort guests with parking privledges anyway so you will be fine! Its a nice perk to park alittle closer especially after a long day of walking in the parks!!!:):)

Will they check ID? Probably not. Can they check ID? Yup. And I have heard of them asking for a room key from your resort to validate the name and dates. Not often, but I have heard of it.
I also belong to AAA, but that doesn't mean I am able to honestly use someone else's perk. They bought the tickets, passes, whatever was needed to get the parking permit. Just being a member doesn't qualify you.

I'm not sure what the big deal is here with these parking papers. Yes, you get a wee bit closer than if you parked in general parking. But you're still paying to park....it doesn't change that. If it did, I could understand the feeding frenzy with these darn things.

So....keep in mind that there is verbiage on each parking permit that states the parking permits are not transferrable and are not for sale. Do what you want. Just as long as you have all the info.

Since you're staying onsite you will need your parking pass from the resort on your dash so the attendant can see it, this pass has your name on it. So the AAA pass and your parking pass will not match up.

Well the OP could just pay for parking. That way this won't be caught! :lmao:

We have bought AAA diamond passes off ebay. I've never had one with a name on it, I've also never had anyone ask me for ID. Good luck.

With the AAA parking pass, you still have to pay to park. It just gets you parked closer to the gate.

Goofy4tink....looks like we will be there at the same time.

The OP isn't staying onsite, so no KTTW card... which necessarily means he isn't the guest whose name is on the AAA pass. Hello. He has to pay for parking with or without the AAA pass.
