AAA Diamond Parking Pass Question

I went through AAA for our vacation which is Feb 19-Mar 1. I asked for a Diamond Parking Pass and she was able to get me one. I noticed it was a '2006' pass and I asked her why we weren't getting a 2007. She said AAA doesn't receive the 2007 passes until mid-late Feb. (I would be gone before they received the 2007 ones) and Disney will honor the 2006 passes... I noticed on the back of the passes it only has blocked out dates for 2006 and doesn't say anything about the begining of the year 2007.

Does anyone know if she is correct, that it will be honored?

I know it will be honored. I had 2005 passes last week and they were honored. I did see some 2007 passes though, so she gave you the wrong information on that count. Have fun...

I thought you automatically got the pass. I didn't know you had to ask for one. Can you jsut stop in at any AAA and get one? Or does it have to be with who you booked the trip with.

We went last January, and we received our 2006 passes in December 2005. It states on the AAA discount card that it is available only through AAA packages, but I have heard of other posters who are able to go into their local AAA office and get a parking pass. That did not work at our local office.

We bought our tickets through AAA and booked our room separate directly through Disney (but got the AAA discount). I just asked for a pass and they gave me one. The didn't say anything about having to have a package.
