When we went last November, it was aready on my stateroom account. Our trip was booked through CAA (the Canadian equivalent of the AAA) and I would assume the situation is the same.
The first night I went to Guest Services with my voucher but didn't need it as it was already showing on their computer system. To be on the safe side, I would take the voucher with you...better to have it and not need it then to not have it and need it.
You are supposed to be able to get them both. They post the credit automatically to your ship board account and you will get a receipt for it while you are on the cruise. Also, on our 7 night cruise for some reason DCL credited that amount directly to the Credit card we had on file for shipboard charges. Not sure why... we ate through the AAA credit and kept right on spending!
