AA or Virgin?

We are planning on flying into Miami again on our next trip and can't decide whether to give american airlines a go, or should we stick with virgin?

AA are coming in £10 cheaper so no deal breaker on the price, anyone flown with AA and how do they compare to virgin?

VA from Heathrow will be good so I would go with them.

Only ever flown Virgin but when I was comparing airlines I came across the following

I would go virgin from heathrow for sure, we 2 aa flights this year and hated them so wouldnt recommend them but its personal choice.

Virign from heathrwo was fantastic super entertainment system and newer planes

We have flew with both VA and AA and have found both airlines very good to travel with.

I suppose it will come down to price and the most suitable flight times to you as there really isn't too much else different with what they each offer.

We had excellent flights with AA last October - better leg and bum room than VA, the cabin crew were much friendlier and helpful and the food excellent.

The only slight disadvantage AA have is their entertainment system is not quite on a par with VA. It's like VA's old system where films are on a loop and no games. However, DH and DD found enough to keep them amused and I was happy with my book and iPod once I'd watched what I wanted. TBH, we've had quite a few flights on VA where we've had little or NO entertainment, so not a huge problem.

However, if the price was the same I wouldn't hesitate using AA again, but only direct. It would have to be £80-100 cheaper each to go indirect. In fact, we're looking at direct flights into Miami with AA for next August at £348, far cheaper than anything VA and BA and offer.
