My family is traveling to Disney next month, but one person in my party is in AA and will need to find meetings in that area. I know Orlando has many, but does anyone know if there are any meetings in Disney or close by? Thanks!

I don't have it handy, but I recall that there is a section in the unofficial guide specifically about this -- I think in the "travelling with special needs" section. If I remember correctly, there is a letter from someone describing a very easy situation just outside the maingate entrance on 192. If you can locate the 2006 version of that book, it will be in there. If I can find it, I'll post again in the next day or so.

Anonymous asks:
"Are any Alcoholics Anonymous meetings conducted anywhere on Disney property?"

Jennifer replies:
"Visit http://aaorlandointergroup.org to get information on AA meetings in Orlando. The only meeting that appears to be on Disney property is at the DoubleTree Suites on Hotel Plaza Blvd. (technically Disney property). Open meetings are held on Sunday. If you are staying at a Disney resort hotel but do not have car, you could either take a taxi to the hotel or take a Disney bus to the Downtown Disney and walk from there."

There is a meeting every day at:
Lake Buena Vista (Walt Disney World Area)
3:00 PM FRIENDS OF BILL W 8200 Palm Pkwy Orlando, FL 32836 2nd floor meeting room at Homewood Suites
