Hi Everyone,

If I had an AA card would i get discounts on Universal Hotels and Disney?

If yes.....
Would I be best to get the cheapest AA membership they do (currently £29 online)

And do i have to book direct with the hotel? I have already booked with Disney UK - but if i rang would they apply an AA Discount to my existing bkg? Havent bkd Universal yet.

Really want my last 4 days near Universal, and quite fancy Hard Rock Hotel, but seems quite expensive for just 4 days - but we would be doing Universal, Seaworld and Discovery Cove in those 4 days and fancy the FOTLP!!! Unless anyone else could suggest a really nice hotel/place to stay near these attractions.

Thanks people.

Might be info here for AAA discounts.
Unfortunately they can't be applied to UK Disney reservations. UK site might be cheaper at times but then can't apply discount codes so can be an expensive way to go.
If you do get AA card then buy it thru rpoints.com they give £10 cashback for AA breakdown, will only cost you £19 for a years cover.

Wayne, you are the fount of all useful/useless information where money saving is concerned. I thought I was good but you beat me hands down. :worship:

I have just booked direct with Disney USA for 22 nights in Aug 09 and got just below 20% discount off normal rack rates
Also got 10% off meals and t-shirts in Hard ROck Cafe.

Remember to ask for "tripple A" discount, as they do not recognise AA

:sad2: Ooohhh! Thought i was being clever when bkg with Disney Uk, but did think they also applied discounts - anyway i was pleased with the cost (going Pop) and at least i dont need to worry about the exchange rate from now until when i pay - swings and roundabouts i spose.

I did read on the Universal site about the restaurant discounts regarding AAA but nothing on room rates.

Has anyone actually used their AA membership to get AAA discounts??? I'm currently arranging a 2009 trip via MEI Travel but when I asked if i would be eliglble for AAA discounts via my AA card and they didn't seem to know.

Personally no I haven't but many have, If you use the search facility I am sure you will find more threads about it.
AA and AAA are both part of this http://www.arceurope.com/en/faqpage.aspx you get discounts in Europe and US with eith card.
Never heard of MEI travel but looks like they are US based, I highly doubt they have heard of The AA. never mind the benefits.:goodvibes
