AA (AAA) discounts at US

I know US hotels give a discount to AAA members but do they honour UK AA cards? We have a temporary AAA card from the AA but it's years old and I'm not sure if they still issue them. Can anyone help?

Hi Gill,

I have never used it myself but I have read lots of threads that say that the UK AA card is the same as the US AAA one for discounts.

If you are still AA members give them a ring and I'm sure they will issue you a new one - my mum's got one and it looks just like a credit card.

We've never been asked to show our AA card at Universal and I got a much better discount with AA than my Entertainment Book last October, so it really is worth getting a new one. You can also use it for 10% discount in the Universal stores, and lots of other places in Europe/US

i've emailed somebody from the AAA with the same question, the answer was an AA card is as good as an AAA card for discounts etc, no temporary card is necessary just show your AA card.
