~A XMAS STORY~decorations, crowds, pixies..AND A BLOODY NOSE~ACTUAL UPDATE 11/9 p190

Awwwwww!!!!!!!! Those little outfits are ADORABLE! Margot's lucky to have such a great aunt... especially one who loves Disney and will buy her a ton of cute presents ;)

thanks! yeah, that sky was so pretty.

beagles are just so sweet!!!! i have to tell you the story of how we came to own a beagle. when i was 18 and ray was 22 we were both working at a restaurant in downtown nashville (we had been dating almost a year). well, on the weekends we wouldn't get off until really late and we'd usually have to be there by 10:00 the next morning, so instead of driving all the way back to the town we both lived in, which was about 40 minutes away, we'd go to my dad's house because he lived about 10 minutes from downtown. i would sleep with my sister and ray would sleep in my room. ray has insomnia (always has) and one night he couldn't sleep and the only movies he could find were my brother and sister's disney movies. they were only 8 and 11 at the time. he had never seen "the fox and the hound" before so he watched it. the next day we were at work and looking at the sunday paper and he goes, "where are the classifieds? i want to get a dog?" he already had two dogs (a pug and a mutt) so i was like, huh??? he said, "i want a HOUUUUUUNNNNND DOG!" just like copper says in the movie! Awww. That is too cute! it was so cute. we found an add for beagle puppies for $40, so that afternoon we went and bought our first beagle. we had to get a girl because his other two dogs were girls and we named her lucy. his mom was like NO WAY, that we had to get rid of her but she fell in love with her within a week. in fact, when ray moved out, he was going to take lucy and his mom was like, "um.....no! that's my dog." lucy is still with us - she's almost 15 years old, but in really bad health. she's such a sweet girl! Our fur babies are close in age! My Boo Boo turns 16 March 8th!

when ray and i got our first apartment together, we had to have a beagle again so that's when we got sherman. anyway, that's our beagle story! :goodvibes

Now you guys live with Sherman...:rotfl2: Not the other way around. You can look at him and tell he's rotten! :goodvibes

it snowed there??? aren't you guys near the beach? we haven't gotten ANYTHING!

Yep. I found a you tube video someone took of it snowing at the beach...have you ever been here? The Boardwalk is close to where the Pavilion used to be. This is not my video but it shows the snow...

Cute outfits.
It's a lot of fun buying for a new little Disney princess! princess:

It's also fun buying coordinating and/or matching outfits for two of them.
And expensive. :crazy2:

One (me!) must use great discretion when shopping,
or one (me!) could find themselves in deep trouble! :)

Your ToT story is great! I've never used the child swap either, glad to see it works without a hitch. I love how Ray got him a Goofy pez, how sweet.

Luke is sure a cutie.

The palm tree pic is my favorite! Gorgeous! Beautiful! :thumbsup2

Ray's tee is so funny, good choice. :)

Love the beagle story. ;)

How cute are those little outfits, I wish I still had a reason to but them. princess:

I love your posts!!! We are going to Disney for the first time in Sept. for our our Disneymoon :cool1: and your trip reports have made me even more excited. My fiance and I are totally big kids and I can't wait. We have promised our daughter that she will get to go for her 5th birthday. I know we are gong to turn into fanatics. Or at least I will. :)

Great update. Your pictures are really good, it makes me almost feel like I am there. I love the story about how you chose a beagle. I love the Fox and Hound movie, but some parts are so sad to me.

Awwww, the outfits that you got for Margot are too cute! You are definitely going to be the cool aunt!

I love your ToT picture. It's so much fun to ride without holding on to anything!

Great outfits for Margot, soooooo cute! My BF has a neice who will be 1 in April and I love looking at the little baby clothes and buying her things. Its dangerous though because everything's so cheap for babies that I end up buying sooo much stuff and then its not so cheap anymore :lmao:

Dawn love the pics from DHS. My favorite is the one where Luke is peeking through Chris's arm as well. I wanna try to go on ToT with DH when we go. My DS9 said he ain't doing that, maybe he'll change his mind come November.

look what i got for margot!!!!!!! i'm the aunt so i'm here for the spoiling. i got these off disneyoutlet.com and i got all three for $15 total! :thumbsup2

I got this dress for my DD3. It will look absolutely look cute with tights. She's going to wear it in a couple of weeks for a birthday party. I think I got the dress for only $7 back before Christmas. Dont'cha love bargains. I like the PJ's too, those are cute.

You are definitely going to be the "favorite" aunt! :thumbsup2 And she is going to be one "stylin'" little girl! ::yes::

i know my sister is going to spoil her too so she'll have two "favorite" aunts! :rotfl:

Awwwww.....little princess!! princess:

They are going to LOVE you if you keep buying clothes for her!! :goodvibes

Hope everyone is doing well!

i have to stop buying clothes and start getting more practical stuff. they had a neighbor give them BOXES full of brand new clothes so they're good with that. and yes, they're doing well. as well as can be expected for their maturity levels. jordan said she's thinking about being induced on april 2nd. she's due april 12th but the doctor said he didn't think she'd last that long.

I knew about this picture already, and of course I knew you called me but I didn't realize it was at the same time.....really funny!!

This pic is hilarious! :rotfl:

yep, that's when i called you. the other time i rode i called anna so this had to be the time i called you since anna was with me! i can't believe you didn't notice we were laughing hysterically the whole time. :rotfl2:

will your older DS be able to watch the younger kids when you guys go so you can ride it together or is he not old enough yet?

i'd love to see a pic of your DD in that outfit!

we were finally called to our table at sci-fi. when we checked in it was only about 12:40 and our ADR wasn't until 12:50. she asked if we wanted a car or a table because they had a table available right then. i knew that luke would love to sit in a car so i opted to wait. they didn't call us until almost 1:00, but it wasn't a big deal since anna, etc. walked over to the streets of america and then ray, chris and luke walked over to the star tours area.

i just love this place! the atmosphere is so cool.

01-7.jpg

looking right from our car....

02-7.jpg

this is the area where the servers go to get the food and everything.

03-7.jpg

ray and i took the back seat, chris sat in the middle and anna took the front. luke kind of floated between chris and anna during the meal and he thought the car was so cool!

i think the coolest thing -- besides the car you sit in, the cheesy old sci-fi clips and the feeling of being in a real drive-in theater -- is the fact that it's so QUIET in there. there is a very low hum of people talking but nothing like a normal restaurant. i guess all the kids that would normally be making noise are mesmerized by what's on the screen in front of them. luke didn't make a peep the whole time!

04-7.jpg

05-7.jpg

06-7.jpg

07-7.jpg

anna's view from the front of the car.....

08-7.jpg

i love how they have old speaker boxes at every car!

09-7.jpg

luke was SO into the clips they were showing. it was cute!

10-7.jpg

you can see the boys are really thrilled! :rotfl2:

11-7.jpg

our server's name was nicole and i've had better service, but she was SUPER nice! and i know as an ex-server that sometimes you just get really busy and can't give the service you always want to. luke ordered a drink with a light-up glow cube so he could have one of his own!

12-7.jpg

continued in next post: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=30161751&postcount=815

ray and i decided we wanted to try one of the grown-up shakes that i'd heard such good things about. we each ordered one and we both ended up getting marsha's martian - chocolate and vanilla shakes mixed with bailey's irish cream and kahlua. it's funny because we usually like different things when it comes to shakes and ice cream and the like!

with flash....

14-7.jpg

without flash....

13-7.jpg

OH MY GOODNESS....this was the BEST shake i've ever had!!!!!! it was so good. highly recommended! :thumbsup2

we tried to get this picture for the longest time and luke wouldn't turn around - he was so wrapped up in the clips they were showing! finally, when he did turn around, chris wasn't looking at the camera! :lmao:

15-6.jpg

our food came out pretty quickly. luke ordered pizza and it came with carrots and apple slices.

16-7.jpg

i think everyone else ordered varying kinds of burgers. mine was loaded with mushrooms, onions and swiss cheese. YUM!!!!

17-7.jpg

nicole and luke hit it off right away - she was super nice!

18-7.jpg

she offered to take our picture in the car....

19-7.jpg

one more time with no bar in front of anna's face!

20-7.jpg

we all enjoyed our food! this place gets mixed reviews as far as the food goes but i think if you just stick with the basics - burgers, fries and shakes - you can't go wrong. the burger i had here was really, really good!

anna wanted me to get a picture of chris and her making out at the drive-in! i hate that this came out blurry.

21-6.jpg

ray and i then showed what an old married couple does at the drive-in! :lmao:

22-6.jpg

23-6.jpg

as soon as we got the bill i sent ray on his way to get fastpasses to RNRC for us to use later and told him to call me when he was heading back our way. as we were leaving nicole wanted to give luke a hug goodbye - he wasn't too sure about that! :rotfl:

24-6.jpg

he finally gave in. well, sort of! :p

25-6.jpg

oh, and notice the little piece of paper luke is holding? he got a license from nicole! very cute touch.

lunch was really good and anna, chris and luke all loved sci-fi! this place is so fun for kids and such a neat little place to have a meal!

next up....join us for a bash on the block! party:

Glad you posted about sci-fi. Since the food is so-so, we'll probably stop for lunch instead of dinner. I just think the whole car thing would be cool for my kids.

And how long have you been married? Not too long, because you're strangling him. That happens between 5-10 years. I'f you're married as long as me, you'd be in the front seat and he'd be in the back!:lmao:

What fun photos you took at Sci-Fi!

We had a great time there too, when we went for lunch in January. Except guess what! Remember I asked you to check if the chocolate tart was still on the menu, and it was? Well, it was gone by the time we got there! Auuhhhh! We had a delicious peanut butter cake instead, but it was no chocolate tart... :sad1:

Hehee, anyway. Thanks for another fun installment!

Glad that you had a positive experience at Sci-Fi! We too, had a good experience when we went there. But then again, we only had burgers and shakes. :goodvibes THOSE SHAKES you had sound like they were so good! I'm really thinking I might have to check those out next time! ;)

Great review of Sci-Fi. I love the pictures of Luke just mesmerized by what is on the screen. Too cute!

Darling outfits, especially the dress. I love the Sci-Fi pictures. I am trying to see if we can fit it in this trip.
